He and his Red Raider mates will perform on the senior high field here against the Humboldt State college eleven starting at 8 p.m. Saturday. Romine was named to the Oregon Collegiate conference all-star second team last year and many Raider followers felt he had been slighted. 14 Clubs Remain In ASA Tourney Sacramento, Calif. (U.R) Fourteen teams remained in con tention today in the Amateur Softball association's 1956 world championship tournament. Five teams suffered their sec ond defeat Thursday night and were eliminated f r om the double-elimination tourney. Four teams were eliminated Wednes day. Thursday nieht the American Bank and Trust team from Baton Rouge, La., knocked out the Mexican National Champ ions of Tampico, 3-0, and a home run in the tenth frame gave the Seal Masters of Auro, 111., a 1-0 victory over the Redwood City. Calif., Merchants, eliminat ing the Merchants.
