Durno, 222 Valley View drive, Tuesday, August 14. Hours of the tea are 2 and 5 o'clock and all women, of the church and their friends are invited to attend. All women's organizations of the Presbyterian church through out the United States set aside some period during the summer as the time for a special project. The funds raised go for the pur-' chase of expensive miracle drugs and medical equipment and sup plies which are so badly needed in mission hospital work, both in this country and abroad, those in charge state. Medford Presbyterian women, along with many other Pres byterian women' sgroups throughout the country, have chose an August silver tea as their annual special project for neea in xne meaicai neia. ine contributions from the teas and other special projects are sent to national boards of the church for distribution to the neediest places. Last year Cuba and the Phii lipines were selected as spots where the funds were most need ed, and mobile health units were purchased for use in the rural communities of these countries. This year it is hoped sufficient money will be raised to aid in the hospital mission work in Africa and Cuba, the committee states. Modernization of supplies (including drugs) and equipment is the great need for nine mis sion hospitals in Africa. In Cuba the need is for the maintenance of equipment and replenishment of drugs and supplies in the mobile health units which are the only hospital care available to many of the people in the rural communities of that country.
