Tracy Jr. Newly weds Reside in Pendleton Following California Ceremony Miss Janice Willhite became the bride of Donald Jay Page baturday, June 16, at 7 p.m. in Chowchilla, Calif. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Willhite, 1312 Humbolt avenue, Chowchilla. Mr. Page is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther C. Page, Route 1, Box 484, Cen tral Point. For her wedding. Miss Will hite wore an afternoon length dress of white nylon chiffon net fashioned with a full skirt. A row of tiny covered buttons ac cented the fitted bodice from the waist to the v-neckline. Her short veil was attached to a small white cap. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink rosebuds with white ribbon streamers. She also wore a rhine stone heart on a silver chain, a gift from the bridegroom. The maid of honor, a cousin of the bride, wore pink and car ried a nosegay bouquet of white carnations and pink rosebuds with blue ribbon streamers. John Burdell, a friend of the bridegroom, .arrived from St. Paul, Minn., to be best man. Mrs. Page chose for her son's wedding a dress of orchid print taffeta with white accessories. Her corsage was of white gar denias. Following the ceremony a re ception was held for family and close friends of the couple. Mr. Page, who was discharg ed for the Army June 8, is a graduate of Central Point High school and attended California State Polytechnic college at San Luis Obispo. He is employed by the Pacific Telephone and Tele graph company in Pendleton, Ore. After a trip to Portland, the couple are at home at 119V SE Ninth drive, Pendleton. ' i Officers Installed r By Ivans Vplley Club The Evans Valley Garden Club held their monthly meeting June 27 in Lithia Park, Ashland. New Officers were installed - at the meeting. They included Mrs. John W. Goldt, president; Mrs. Harry Winters, vice-president; and Mrs. Vern Orr, secretary treasurer. Following the intalla tion a luncheon was served while later the group toured Lithia Park. The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Goldt July 25. Sojourners Club Installs Officers At Thursday Meet Mrs. Gerald von Ting was In stalled as president of the So journers club at a meeting of the group Thursday at the Pythian hall. Installing officer, Mrs. John Mansfield, presented retiring president, Mrs. Meredith H. Par sons, and the new president pink carnation corsages on behalf of the club. Other officers installed were Mrs. Gene Chamberlain, first vice president; Mrs. Floyd Rob ertson, second vice - president; Mrs. Roy Stein, secretary; and Mrs. Clifford Griffitts, treasurer. Mrs. Parsons is chairman of the governing board and Mrs. Mansfield member-at-large. Ap pointive officers are Mrs. Eugene Ingram, hospitality chairman; Mrs. Carl J. Christianson, public ity chairman; and Mrs. Edwin Harper, remembrance chairman. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. A. L. McClure, Mrs. Owen Ludwick and Mrs. Oscar Larson. The refreshment table was decorated with candles and bouquets of sweet peas and ferns. Mrs. Clarence Staley re ceived a special award from the club. After the business meeting, cards were played the remainder of the afternoon. Mrs. Clay M. Lee and Mrs. Parsons won bridge prizes; Mrs. John E. West lund and Mrs. Staley won canas ta prizes; and Mrs. William K. Jensen and Mrs. Chamberlain won pinochle prizes. Next club meeting will be held July 26 at the Pythian hall, 1 p.m. All women who have lived in Medford or vicinity less than two years are invited to come and become members. 1 Grace Circle To Entertain Bethany And Hope Groups The Grace Circle of the Hrst Presbyterian Church will enter tain members of Bethany and Hope Circles at a Mission coffee hour and swim, Tuesday, from 10 to 12 a.m. at. the home of Mrs. Otto Frohnmayer, 1656 Spring street. Assisting will be Mrs. Ward Lampkin, Mrs. Ern est Larsen, and Mrs. William H. Seibert. These coffee hours' are to help the Presbyterian Mission of the Ming Quong Homes in Oakland and Los Gatos, Calif. This is the second in a series of seven cof fee hours. Open House Honors Couple On Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary The Rev. and Gray celebrated wedding anniversary with an open . house from 7 to 9 p.m. June 19 at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Sams, 208 Vashti Way. The serving table was covered with a cream and gold embroi dered cloth from Damascus, Mrs. W. Beauty Salon brought it from the holy land. The center piece was a brass bowl containing yellow roses, flanked by gold candles and two gold birds. The wedding cake in white and yellow was decor ated with yellow roses. On the mantelpiece was a variegation of sweet peas, and on the piano, two large gold vases containing roses. Two huge white baskets of white daisies and delphinium graced the out side patio while a bouquet of summer flowers was on a small table. Mr. and Mrs. Gray were mar ried in St. Louis, Mo., June 20, 1906, and moved to Oregon ih 1912. The Rev. Mr. Gray, who served as a Presbyterian minis ter for 52 years, has been, re tired the past six years. The couple have two grand children, Lt. Charles A. Sams of Medford and Mrs. Donald Oil man of . Lafayette, Calif., and one great grandchild, Susan Ann Ohman. Forty friends, neighbors and members from a Bible class came to offer congratulations during the celebrationv Navy Mothers To flold Luncheon Navy Mothers of America, No. 46, will hold a covered dish luncheon at the home of Mrs. John Davies, 1220 Maple Park drive,. at noon Tuesday. Members are requested to bring their own service. Other Navy mothers not members of the organization are invited. Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. the group will sponsor a card party at Camp White. Mem bers are asked to bring pies. . Picnic Planned Jacksonville Masonic bodies and their families will join in a picnic at the Glenn Abbott home on Lake Creek July 22 at 1 p.m. Groups to attend include Ad arel Chapter 3, OES, Warren Lodge 10, AF and AM, and Ore gon chapter 4, RAM. Those at tending are to bring picnic lunches and coffee. Carter, 730 Broad street, announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Lee, to Donald Glein Burgess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon D. Burgess, 2495 West Main street. Miss Carter, a June graduate of Medford Senior High school, will leave for Oakland this Sep tember where she will study nursing at Highland Nurses Training school and at Mills col lege. Mr. Burgess, who attended Medford High school and South ern Oregon college, will move Picnic Held At TouVelle Park . For Foster Kids The Foster Parents club in Medford held a picnic Saturday afternoon at TouVelle park for their children, the parents in the club, and the Jackson county child welfare staff. Robert Jones, executive sec retary of the YMCA, was in charge of the recreation and many organized games were planned for the youngsters. The Foster Parents club, start ed in January, is an organization composed of those parents who have offered their homes to chil dren who are unable to remain in their own homes due to fam ily hardship or by court action. These children are not up for adoption. Before a home is eligible for these children, they must meet certain standards set up by the Welfare department and the Oregon state laws. The only group of its kind in Oregon organized by a Public Welfare department, the Foster Parents club meets monthly so they may become better acquain ted with other foster parents and the agency staff. At the present time approxi mately 70 children from 3 months to 17 years in age have been placed in these temporary homes in Jackson county. Some of these children are placed only during the summer months. to San Diego this fall where he plans to continue his studies. No date has been set for the wedding. Sunday, July 15, 195S MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE FIVH Tea Honors Medford Girl Miss Elizabeth Collins, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Collins, Medford, , was guest of honor at a tea given the after noon of July 8 by Mrs. W. G. Bonney at the Bonney home, 1941 Williams highway, Grants Pass. Miss Collins is engaged to Kent Bonney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bonney. Tea was served at a table cov ered with a lace cloth over pale green. A silver bowl in the cen ter of the table held a bouquet of white roses, baby's breath and fern. A ruffle of pale green net surrounded the base of the bowl and streamers of green rib bon led from the flower arrange ment to the edge of the table and were caught there by small nosegays of white flowers. Ivory tapers were in the silver can dlesticks. Two large bouquets decorat ed the living room. One was of Croft lilies and the other of mixed white petunias, geranium and phlox. A white wedding bell tied with a large bow of green net was hung on the front door. Assisting Mrs. Bonney in re ceiving guests were Mrs. W. D. Bonney, her sister-in-law and Mrs. C. R. Bonney, her daughter-in-law. Mrs. Howard Candler as sisted. Pouring during the tea were Mrs. Alva Twohy, Mrs. Roger Hannum, Mrs. A. S. Mc Queen and Mrs. W. D. Bonney. More than 60 women called during the afternoon. Attending with Miss Collins were her mother, Mrs. James C.
