Fire Extinguished The rural pumper truck was dispatched to a small fire near the Kogap Lum ber Industries log dump on South Pacific highway about 7:50 p.m. yesterday by the fire department. Also stolen was a length of green plastic hose, police said. Bicycles Stolen Fred Drys dale. 618 Chestnut St., reported io city police . that his Wycle was stolen in Hawthorne Park Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m. At 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, Lewis Enil Severson, 924 South Ivy st.. reported his bicycle missing from 23 South Central ave. - Can Collide Two cars, driv en by Robert Lee Fisher, 2795 Bullock rd., and Norene' Davis, route 1, box 198. Central Point, collided Wednesday at 12:43 p.m. at Fourth and Front sts., police have reported. Miss Davis was cited for failure to yield right of way, police said. Conway have assumed the business name Azna Construction Company. . Wins Trip Mr. and Mrs. Curt Butterfield. 1010 Stewart ave., left yesterday for a weekend in New York. This trip was award ed Butterfield for being thosen the outstanding salesman in the United States for May by the Charles Psizer Pharmaceutical company. A salesman with the company for three years, he was chosen from 600 salesmen. Boat Misting Ira H. Fond der, 2093 College Way, Medford, has reported at the sheriff's of fice that his 10-foot row boat is missing from where he left it after it capsized Saturday. Ponder reported that the boat capsized Saturday about one mile downstream from Casey Park while he wag fishing on Rogue river. He said the boat lodged on a rock and he left, planning to pick it up, the next day. He said it was missing when he returned. WILLIAM T. POPPLE Funeral services for William T. Popple, 66, who died yester day at the V.A. Domiciliary at Camp While will be held in Camp White chapel at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Chaplain Samuel Feller will officiate. Committal will be in Camp White cemetery. Conger-Morris funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Popple was born May 1, 1890, in Diamond Dale, Mich. He enlisted in the army on Aug. 19, 1917, and received his dis charge July 1, 1919. CHARLES MARSHALL Charles Marshall, 82, of Cen tral Point, died last night in a local hospital. Conger - Morris funeral home is in charge of ar rangements. MRS. ROSA MAY PERKINS Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa May Perkins. 86, of 334 South Grape St., who died Wednesday at her home, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. James W. Neely of the First Baptist church, of which she was a mem ber, 'will officiate. Committal will be in Memory Gardens Memorial park. Mrs. Perkins was born Aug 24, 1870, in Hart. Mich. In Port land, in 1900, she was married to Floyd A. Perkins, who pre ceded her in death in 1935. She came from Coquille to Gold Hill in 1938, moving to Ashland in 1942 and to Medford in 1952. Survivors include two daugh ters, Mrs. Roy Eskew, Gold Hill. and Mrs. Alpha Colvin, Med ford; two half-sisters, Mrs. N. A. Aleander, El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. Belle Lamb, Santa Bar bara, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Eaglet Convention The Ore gon state Eagles- convention- is being held this week end at The Dalles instead of Bend as pre viously reported to the Mail Tribune. In Salem District Attorney Walter Nunley and Alan Holmes, deputy district attorney, are in Salem attending a state-wide district attorney's convention which started today. They are expected back at the office Monday.- Exams Slated Health exam inations for the first session at Girl Scout Camp Low Echo, Lake of the Woods, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the Med ford clinic in the Medical Center building, the Girl Scout office announced today. At Seminar Lou Cranston of the Cranston agency left for Eugene this morning to attend a three-day seminar for insur ance agents. The seminar is spon sored by the Oregon Association of Insurance agents, the Univer sity of Oregon school of business and the Institute of Oregon Underwriters.
