Arizona Water Table Disputed as Evidence In Colorado Hearing

Cassity is on his way out as the
department's security officer.
Cassity has been a central
figure in controversial security
allegations Involving John C.
Baker. Midwest chief of the agri
culture Department's marketing
service at Chicago, and Wolf
Ladejinsky. former department
land reform expert.
Allegations Dropped
Cassity's allegations against
Baker, never made public, have
since been dropped, and Benson
later withdraw allegations made
against Ladejinsky. It was on
Casity's recommendation that
Benson had at first declared
Ladejinsky a security risk and
ousted him from the department.
Ladejinsky later was employed
by the State Department in a
sensitive position.
Canity's Record Good
Despite these incidents, Ben
son told a news conference
Wednesday that he has "given no
thought to replacing" Cassity.
He said that Cassity's "record is
good, generally speaking" and
that "from all I know of his

their tire dealers today to save
about S3 before a tax boost goes
into effect at midnight Saturday.

Independent Tire Dealers Asso
ciation, Lyle Remde. said sales
men could usually sell a custom

Reunion of Wild West
Division Scheduled
The 38th annual reunion of
the Wild West division will be
held in Seattle. Wash., Sept. 29,
Pat Graham, adjutant and ser
vice officer of the Mcdford Dis
abled American Veterans post,
has announced.
Graham said efforts are be
ing made to contact all former
members who served with the
91st division in both World War
I and World War II.
Veterans have been asked to
