    Chiloquin Girl Fights for Life
As Attacker Rests in KF Cell
Klamath Falls (U.R) A 38-year-old
Mexican immigrant
who worked at a railroad section
hand was in the Klamath county

and stabbing a 15-year-old girl
early Saturday.
Luis Garcia was returned

What do you consider the
Ideal period between births?
Experts maintain there should
be a period of not less than four
years between births. They say
children so born will have the
best chance for a healthy adult
life. I have no reason to believe
my mother and father planned
it, yet I was born five years aft
er my sister. And have enjoyed
excellent health practically all
my adult life.
So you think hotel charges
are excessively high and tipping
- expectations are too great in this
- country. Give a thought to Italy.
In that country taxes and serv
ice charges can increase a hotel
bill by 50 per cent. That is, if
the rate is $8 a day, the charge
on your bill will be $12. In addi
. lion to that, you are expected to
: tip practically everyone who
works in the hotel.
' Please Note
i Many turf enthusiasts do not
realize that when they buy a $2
ticket their bet is only for $1.75.
, The track "take" of 15 per cent
is immediately deducted. Also,
if it turns out to be a winning
ticket, the bettor does not get
the complete amount due.
"Breakage" is deducted. At one
time, tracks paid the winners the
exact amount due. For example,
at Dade park, Kentucky, in 1931,
. a horse named Pretty Penny
paid off as follows: $7.29 to win;
$4.68 to place, and $3.48 to
show.

' "What will it do for me?"
That is what a woman wants to
know when considering the pur-

the article of attire will increase

you know, Margaret Truman's
wedding gown was designed by
the Italian dressmaker, Micol

the hit song "Tea for Two" . . .
Q. Are you familiar with a poem

"Believe not each accusing

Richard Brinsley Sheridan and
goes as follows:
Believe not each accusing tongue
As most weak mortals do,
But still believe that story
wrong
That ought not to be true.

Street Names
What is the most curiously
named street in the world? How
about that Paris thoroughfare,
on the left bank of the Seine,
which is named the Rue Du Chat

yesteryear there actually was a
cat in that location who fished
