Mrs. Cogan is the former Miss Sybil Jean Young, daughter of Harvey Young, formerly of Medford, now of Eugene. She was gradu ated from Medford High school in 1932. The couple has two other children, Bruce, 14, and Susan, 12. Burs Lot Vic Milnes. Med ford business man, and P. Dal Porto, Sacramento, Calif., an as sociate of Milnes for the past 18 years, have purchased the busi ness property lot at the corner of Fourth st., and North Central ave., it was announced today through Fidler-McKenrie agency where C. Lyall Fidler made the transaction. The lot, 62 by 100 feet, formerly was a used car lot. Milnes has no plans at the present for use of the building, he said today. From Spokane Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Degerness, 520 Dakota ave., arrived home this week from Spokane, Wash., after they attended commencement exer cises at Whitworth college where their son, Kenneth Degerness, was graduated. He is a Medford High school graduate. At college he majored in advertising work and now is a member of the staff of Miller, Ogle and Meyer Ad vertising agency at Spokane. The ; Degernesses were accompanied on their trip by Ralph Ettel Jr. News About Servicemen ON LEAVE Larry Dean McNsaly, who is stationed with the Navy at San Ysidro, Calif., and a former Medford resident, is here on 16 day leave. He is v.iting at the home of his fiancee. Miss Shirley Kenner, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Kenner, 327 North Oakdale ave. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McNealy, Gold endale. Wash., also formerly of Medford, were here last week. They attended graduation exer cises at Medford High school. Miss Kenner was a member of the class. Attend Meeting Members of the Jackson county court met Wednesday with members of the Josephine county court in Grants Pass. Returned Mrs. Gayle Wil liams, 619 South Ivy t., returned this week from a three-week trip to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and while there visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lebanon Mayor Selected Aeronautics Board Head Salem (U.R) Ralph Scrog gins, mayor of Lebanon, yester day was elected chairman of the State Aeronautics Board. The board voted to pave the runways at the Cascade Locks airport and aproved additional width and length for runways at the Condon airport. DeHart, former Medford resident, died at her home in Detroit, Mich., May 26'. She lived in Medford for several years since 1947 before moving to Michigan about a year ago. Survivors include her hus band, Ellis J. DeHart of Farm ington, Mich.; a son, Willim E. DeHart, who is in the Air Force in Texas; and a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn A. Velzy, Grants Pass. HORACE M. DOOLEN Horace M. Doolen, of 612 West Second St., Medford, died yester day in a Portland hospital. The body is being returned to Med ford for services and interment. Conger-Morris funeral home is in charge of arrangements. DOUGLAS M. GAYLOR Funeral services for Douglas Marion Gaylor, 62, of 211 McAn drews rd., Medford, who died Wednesday, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel at 9 a.m. Satur day. Committal will be in Log- town cemetery. Mr. Gaylor was born March 29, 1894, in East St. Louis, 111. He was a sign painter, moving from Iowa in 1940 to Medford where he had made his home since that time. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Esther Darting, Butte Falls; niece, Mrs. Geo. Evans, Medford; nephews, Virgil Harris, Marys ville, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews in the East. Pallbearers will include John Perdue Sr.; John Perdue Jr; W. L. Evans, Ernest Hobbs, Isham Long and John Spackman. CHERYL HALLETT Private funeral services for Cheryl Elizabeth Hallett, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gay lord Hallett of Central Point, were held today in Conger-Morris chapel. The Rev. Clynton G. Crisman of the Medford Friends church officiated. Survivors beside the parents include a brother. JUNE MARIE MARIN Graveside services for June Marie Marin, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Italo Marin of Hilt. Calif., were held at the Central Point cemetery this morning. The Rev. William McLeod of ficiated. Perl Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. June Marin died in a local hospital Thursday. She is survived by her par ents, one brother, Frankie Ma rin of Hilt; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Booth, Central Point, and Mr. and Mrs. John Marin, Hilt; three uncles, two aunts and several nieces and nephews. MARY BUTLER Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Butler, 77, of 2701 Connel ave., who died in a local hos pital Thursday, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Perl Funeral home. The Rev. James W.
