Daniels Shooting Indictment Dismissed New York U.R) Indict ment charging cafe singer Billy Daniels with shooting a fellow patron of a Harlem bottle club last Jan. 31 have been dismissed. General Sessions Judge Ja cob Gould Schurman ruled that Grand Jury testimony failed to stablish that Daniels even had a gun.. Dist. Atty. Frank S. Hogan, who has been feuding with Judge Schurman over the hand ling of several recent cases, said his office would appeal the dis missal. The victim of the shooting. ' James Jackson, 33. a fight train er, had told police and the Grand Jury he did not know who fired the shot that wounded him. Schurman said Ramona Davis, sister of entertainer Sammy Da vis. Jr., the state's key witness against Daniels, had told the Grand Jury four different ver sions of the late at night shoot ing, all of them at variance with Jackson's testimony. Brink's Informer Slain; Clues Hinted Boston U.P) Fingerprint experts today examined a 1956 Cadillac found burning in a rail road yard Monday night in a hunt for clues to the gangland slaying of Brink's informer Wil liam F. Cameron. The automobile, bearing New Jersey license plateS, was dis covered aflame in the sprawling New- Haven railroad yard in Roxbury. The cars owner, a Union City, N.J., woman visit ing relatives here, was being questioned by police. They , were deported by the Russians in 1941, escaped to England and had noi seen Roman in 15 years. His rescue was staged with the help of a group of Polish refu gees now living in Britain and carried out despite the careful watch kept on the archery team, whose members were making their first visit outside the Iron Curtain. The Polish Embassy joined in an unsuccessful search for Kazi mierczyk and forced the re maining members of the archery team to move from a small Brit ish hotel to the Embassy itself. Truce teams were ousted from South Korea Saturday by the United Nations which said the inspection system had become a "farce." The United Nations charged the Communists evaded the inspectors and violated the truce by smuggling in jet air craft and other modern weapons. Six Swiss and five Swedish inspectors arrived at Panmun jom from a two-day train trip from North Korea. It was not disclosed how many Czech and Polish inspectors returned to the truce zone.
