Robinson was with Bryan Waelder, 52, Long Beach, Calif., when they lost their river boat. The men disagreed on the best plan of action and went differ ent ways. Waelder was found last Fri day by Deputy Sheriff Bill Wells after an aerial search near Hanksville. Weils also was leading the river party that found Robinson. Searchers saw where he had crawled from the water after swimming the swollen river, and followed his tracks to the camp. Macon. Ga. iU.R) Clyde Beatty admitted in court Tues day that television had done what none of his "big cats" could do in 33 years, put him out of business. The ve-.eran wild animal train er said at one of two circus bankruptcy proceedings in U.S. District court that the outdoor circus appears on the way out because of television. National Circus Corp., opera tor of the three-ring Clyde Beatty circus which folded at Burbank, Calif., last month, list ed debts of more than $357,000 against only $260 cash. Early Votes Scheduled The Senate and House Inter ior committees yesterday sched uled early votes on bills to au thorize the controversial dam on the Snake river. The bills have been blocked in .the com mittees since last year.' A break in the House commit tee deadlock came when a Re publican member. Rep. J. Edgar Chenoweth (R-Colo.), announced he would vote for the bill. He said he has been promised help in return from Speaker Sam Ray burn to get his bill to' authorize the Frying Pan-Arkansas pro-' ject in Colorado out of the rules committee. Budge said it was difficult for him into believe there was any agreemen tbetween Rayburn and Chenoweth. He said he "prefers to think" that the development "resulted from the activities of the Democratic national chair man." Budge pointed out that Butler called for congressional approval of four public power; items, including Hells Canyon, in a letter to Senate Majority ; Leader Lyndon B. Johnson (D-; Tex.) last March. Rayburn got a copy, he said. Attack Said Meaningless He said Butler stated in the letter that "our campaign at tack on the administration give away at Hells Canyon is mean ingless if the Democratic major ity has not moved in the 84th Congress to stop it." The letter added that "this issue is hot in Oregon and will be a vital factor in the reelec tion of Sen. Wayne Morse (D- Ore.) and Rep. Edith Green (D Ore.)," he said. Budge said he was convinced that President Eisenhower would veto a Hells Canyon bill if it got past both houses. Medford Hotel's Beautiful CANDLE ROOM Now Open!
