Angel of Dlen Bien Phu To Wed French Captain Paris (U.R) Genevieve De Galard, the "Angel of Dien Bien Phu," is going to marry a French paratroop captain she met in In dochina, according to the news paper France Soir. Clean-Up Day Set Trail cem etery clean-up day will be held Sunday and the annual cemetery association meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. Those planning to par ticipate in the clean-up are asked to bring; their own trowels. Trucks will be available to haul trash from the grounds. Potluck lunch will be served at noon. Collision Carolyn Joseph ine Calhoun, 2124 Camp Baker rd.. and Alice Marlene Wilson, Independence, were involved in a collision on South Riverside st., between Erhart st. and 13th st., Sunday, according to Med ford police. Lincoln Roundup The an nual summer round-up for chil dren entering Lincoln school in September will be held Friday, May 25, starting ' at- 9:30 a.m. in the school health room. Par ents are asked to bring the chil dren as soon after 9:30 as pos sible. The sessions are for those who find it inconvenient to visit family physicians. Parents are to fill out the Oregon pupil medical record form at home ancT take it with the child when the examination is held, school officials said. Patients Reported Ray Goin, Phoenix, was admitted to Osteopathic hospital today for medical treatment, the hospital reported. Mrs. Lizzie Freauf, of Gold Hill, was released from the hospital yesterday after having been a patient for three weeks following surgery. Richard Kyle and Mrs. Kyle at .Nagoya, Japan. The child has been named Richard Jr. The Kyles, in Japan while Lieutenant Kyle serves with the United States Air Force, are also the parents of a daughter aged 2. Mrs. Kyle is the former Venetia Neal, daughter of Mrs. Ada Neal, 626 I Stewart ave., and the officer's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kyle, 42 South Keene way. 20 Cases of Measles Reported Last Week Twenty cases of measles were reported in Medford during the week ending May 19, according to Dr. A. Erin Merkel, public health physician. Measles was also reported in Phoenix, six cases; . Central Point, four, and Jacksonville. two. Other communicable diseases reported for that week included pneumonia, Jacksonville 1; im petigo, Jacksonville 1; strep throat, Medford 2, Ashland 1 influenza, Medford 7, Gold Hill 2; chicken pox, Medford 3; pink eye, Medford 1, Central Point 1; mumps, Medford 1; and scalp ringworm, Ashland 1. Funeral Services Slated Wednesday For James Grigsby Funeral services for James Arnett Grigsby, 63, manager and partner of Purucker Piano house who died in a local hospital Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presby terian church. The Rev. D. Kirk land West, pastor of the church, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Medford Memorial mausoleum at the IOOF ceme tery. College Graduate Mr. Grigsby, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Sherwood Leon Grigs by, was born in Paducah, Ky., June 23, 1892. His father served a term as moderator of the Southern branch of the Presby terian church. Mr. Grigsby was a. graduate of the College of Emporia, Kan., and served in the infantry in World War I, where he was stationed at Kelly Field, San Antonio, Tex. In 1932 he was married at Kimball, Nebr., to Edith Gra ham Lumsden, who survives. For a number of :years he was assistant manager of the Metro politan life insurance company in the northern Colorado area. As a boy he had lived in Med ford, and the family returned here in 1946, where Mr. Grigsby became manager and partner of the music store. Club Memberships He had been a member of the Presbyterian church all his life. He was also a member of Ro tary, Medford Lodge No. 103, AF & AM, Medford Consistory of Scottish Rite, the Hillah Tem ple Shrine, and Medford Lodge No. 1168, BPOE. Besides his wife he is sur vived by four sons, James A. Grigsby Jr., Irving, Tex., Rich ard S. Grigsby, El Paso, Tex., John L. Grigsby, Mountain View, Calif., and Donald T. Grigsby, Chicago: one step-son, William B., Johnston, stationed in Bordeaux, France; three sis ters, Mrs: Leonard Foley and Mrs. Bert Lowry, both of Med ford, and. Kreiger, 69, who died at the home of his son, James Kreiger, in Weott, Calif., will be held 'at graveside at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Antioch cemetery. Mr. Kreiger was a long-time resident of Rogue valley, and had recently gone to California to visit. He was born in Mulino, Ore., Dec. 28, 1886. Besides has son, James, he is survived by another son, Clay ton A. Kreiger, Grants Pass; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Wheeler, Myrtle Point; and Mrs. Bernice White, Port Orford; four step daughters; one sister, Mrs. Ma bel Sagar, Medford, and one niece, Mrs. Mabel Brpck, and several grandchildren. E. R. Prefontainef Pioneer Resident, Dies Here Sunday Edward Raphael Prefontaine, 75, of Gold Hill, died in a local hospital Sunday. Mr. Prefontaine was born in Foots Creek, April 30," 1881, the son of an old pioneer family of Jackson county. He lived in Jack son county most of his life. He attended school in the Old St Mary's academy in Jacksonville, Mr. Prefontaine and his wife were the first to be married in St. Mary's chapel in Medford on Feb. 4, 1919. He is survived by his wife, Ida Prefontaine.. of Gold Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Edward A. Lu- kowski, Portland; Mrs. William Hurst, Grants Pass; and Mrs. M. Jack Martina, Gold Hill; three sons, Edward R. Prefontaine, Grants Pass; 11 grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be by the Rev. N. J.
