Use Tribune Want Ads Unsuccessful Panly Raid Staged at OSC Corvallis (U.R) A brief and unsuccessful panty raid was staged last night by Oregon State college men students. The fracas started with a water fight involving about 50 men. Students involved climbed aboard a truck and headed for a sorority. Others joined in but the group dispersed after meet ing at the sorority. . Later the same truck paraded up and down "Greek Row" with riders yelling, "Let's have a panty raid." . A small group stopped at an other sorority, rushed the fire escape and broke a window be fore becoming discouraged. (Some men then turned to Waldo hall, the women's dormitory. Dan W. Poling, dean of men, ar rived on the scene and aided in dispersing the group, which had' dwindled in size. The $1,000,000 bond issue will be retired at a rate of six mills over a period of 18 years. State matching funds of $360,- 000 will be added to the total. The junior high school is ex pected to be ready for occupancy by September 1958 and will have facilities for 750 students.
