High School News Notes Ey NELLIE RAWLINGS Medford rated exceptionally well at the solo and ensemble contest held at Fruitdale last week end. Southern Oregon music educators is sued superior Vf'J Dick Brown, V V"W trombone solo; - & bti 'fa Sonja Peter son, violin and piano; Carol Nellie Rawiinn Mciuniey, sax ophone solo; trombone quartet, French horn quartet, cornet quartet, baritone quartet, brass extet II, brass' quintet, wood wind quintet, soxophone quar tet, clarinet quartet I, clarinet quartet III, string ensemble, and ."'A boys' octet. Excellent ratings went to Ter ry Brereton, clarinet solo; brass sextet I, clarinet quartet II, clar inet quartet III, clarinet quartet IV; Jim Corum, trombone solo, and Ruth Phillips, violin solo. The trombone trio received a good rating. The senior announcements and calling cards have arrived, and were being picked up this week. The students enjoy trad ing cards with their classmates and putting the cards in their Senior Memories book.
