Not so long ago a man was arrested in the Bronx for snatching a lemon stick from the hand of a kiddie. How about robbing the cup of a blind man? That happened, too. A man was arrested in St. Louis, Mo., for that. Another extremely mean thief was the Chicago crook who confessed that for 48 years he had made a living robbing church poor boxes. Said he averaged $20 a day. One of the meanest thieves in New York history was the fellow who sneaked into police stations in Manhattan and stole policemen's badges. Imagine a cop having to report that somebody stole his badge. A horrible situation. Office Marriage Tlje number of secretaries who marry the boss continues to in crease. The majority of girl Fri days who marry their employer are divorcees. These romances usually occur when the boss is a bachelor .of 40 or there-abouts and the secretary is about 26. Ninety-eight percent of such marriages are said to be success ful. This brings to mind the claim that the best type of wo mart, to marry is a sympathetic girl with a sense of humor, who has had some business expe rience. Wedding Days As you know, Margaret Tru man's wedding has been sched uled to take place on April 21. That is a Saturday. The poetic prophecy dealing with wedding days is as follows: Monday for wealth, Tuesday for health, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for crosses, Friday for losses, Saturday no luck at all.
