Accident A car operated by Ralph Hartley. 22, of route 1, box 448, Central Point, went out "of control and collided with a parked car owned by Jeanne Stella Savage, route 1, box 465, Central Point, about 3:20 p.m. yesterday at the junction of Wil low Creek rd. and Willow Springs rd., according to state police. Hartley was cited for vio lation of basic rule, police said. Lew is. 23, Miami, Fla., was sentenc ed to 30 days in the county jail Monday afternoon after he pleaded guilty in district court to a charge of petty larceny. Lewis was arrested by state po lice Monday at the Big Y. - Bail Forfeited Lawrence Raymond Phillips. 31, of 255 Charlotte Anne rd., forfeited SI 10 bail yesterday following his arrest by Medford police of ficers on complaints charging driving while his operator's li ' cense was suspended and fail ' ure to stop at stop light, accord i ing to a police report. Phillips posted S100 bail for the license charge. S5 for failure to stop and S5 for a warrant fee. Po lice said Phillips had ignored a citation issued him in Novemb er. At Sacred Heart Richard Ed wards, age 2. son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edwards, 303 North Berkeley way; Mrs. Joseph Fen ton, Talent; and Deborah Brad ford, age 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bradford, Yreka, Calif., were all reported as sur gery patients at Sacred Heart hospital today. Mr. Murray was born Nov. 12, 1890, in Ireland, and was a veteran of World War I, serving from May 28, 1918, to May 22, 1919. Survivors include a brother, Patrick J. Murray, Anaconda. HENRY WEEKS Services for Henry A. Weeks, 485 Beacn st., Ashland, will be held in Ashland Mortuary chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. John Reynolds, of Medford First Presbyterian church will officiate. Interment will be in Glendale, Calif. Refresh ments will be served. Daughter Born A daughter was born Feb. . 29 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jantzer, former Central Point residents now liv ing in Portland. The child, named Maria Jeanne, is the couple's third daughter. Grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jantzer, and Mr. and Mrs. C. EJ Keenan, all of Cen tral Point. The baby's mother is the former Miss Marilyn Kee nan. Mrs. Marie Degerness, 520 Dakota ave., paternal great grandmother and Mrs. C. E. Funeral Services For Crash Victims Set for Wednesday Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. John Skyrman and their infant daughter, Dawn Rae, who were killed in an automobile accident near Susanville, Calif., Friday night, will- be held in Conger-Morris chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Thomas McCamant of the First Congregational church, and Dr. D. Kirkland West, of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Commit tal will be in Siskiyou Memor ial park. John Dawson Skyrman was born in Dunsmuir, Calif., Nov. 14, 1930. For the past two and one-half years he had been liv ing in Reno where he was em ployed by Commercial Credit corporation. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Skyrman, and a son, John Jr. Dolores Irene Skyrman was born in San Bernardino, Calif., July 14, 1932. Surviving, be side a son, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Bearden, Med ford; a sister, Joyce Mary Beard en; a half sister, Mrs. Howard Blakeman, Colton, Calif.; and a grandmother, Mrs. Irene Cowan, La Mesa, Calif., and several aunts and uncles. Dawn Rae Skyrman was born in Reno June 13, 1954. Lesser Grain Borer Said Found in Stale Salem (U.R) E. P. Larson, a surveying entymologist for the State Agriculture iDepartment, reported today that the lesser grain borer, a serious pest of stored grain in the southern states, had been found in Oregon. Larson said borers were found in barley stored in several Linn county feed mills and also in Yamhill county. The pest was identified by Dr. Melville H. Hatch of the Univer sity of Washington, a beetle spe- I cialist. !
