The women are cousins. The group spent Sunday at Union creek. Phoenix Scouts Phoenix cub scouts will have their annual Blue and Gold banquet Thurs day, 16 at the First Presbyterian church in Phoenix. The meeting-is open to all cub scouts, their entire families and friends. Following the banquet there will be a skit presented by the cubs of Den two; presentation of awards; and a special pie auction to raise funds for cub scouting in Phoenix. Conger-Morris funeral home is in charge of arrangements. MARY DUPRAY Funeral services for Mary L. Dupray, who died in Hillsboro Wednesday, will be held in the Conger-Morris Chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, with the Rev. C. Fred Lee, of the Faith Ad vent Christian church officiat ing. Burial will be in Siskiyou Memorial park. Mrs. Dupray was born in Black Walnut, Pa., Jan. 30, 1882, a daughter of the late Hervey S. and Belle A. Sturdevant. She came to the Willamette valley at the age of three, living near Cornelious until 1922 when she moved to Medford. On April 23. 1902, at Cornelious,1- she was married to Irvin Dupray who preceded. her. in death. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Pof f en barger, Hillsboro; Mrs. Edith Fuller, Napa, Calif.; and Mrs. Bessie Mullen, Redding, Calif.; two sons, Fred H:; Portland; and Frank M., Medford; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Howard, Los Ange les, and Mrs. Bessie. Hiddink, Hillsboro; a brother, Roy Stur devant, Portland; 14 grandchil dren and seven great-grandchildren. - - Fafe of Twins Depends on Tests Wheeling, W. Va. (U.R) The fate of 14-year-old twin, boys ac cused of bludgeoning to death a nine-year-old Cub Scout hung today on the results of a study of lie detector tests taken by the youthful suspects. The twins, Thomas and Joseph Williams, spent nearly eight hours yesterday answering ques tions about the slaying of David Powell last Thursday night. Gompers issued, a flat "no" when asked if the twins had con fessed. 21m rn L 6 aJ'P- Monday, February 13, 19SS Three People Injured In Aufo Accidents Three people" were hurt, none seriously, in an auto accident about five miles from Medford on Crater Lake ave., at 4:25 p.m. yesterday, according to state po lice. , A car driven by Dolly Fish er Barrett, route 1, box 208, Eagle Point, collided head- on with a vehicle operated by Rob ert Force, route 2, box 197, Medford. Force was cited by state police for failure to oper ate on the right side of the high way. Mrs. Barrett received bruises; William J. Barrett, a passenger in the Barrett car, received fa cial cuts, and Force received cuts and bruises. Both cars were heavily damaged, police said. In another accident, cars driv en by Lloyd Joseph LeFaive, 620 Victory st., and Richard Earl Lehman, 534 Mae st, col lided on Highway 99 north and Willow Junction at 11:42 p.m., Saturday,' state police said. 'No one was reported injured. Oregon Students Form Future Teachers Group Corvallis (U.R) Some 250 representatives from Oregon high schools met on the Oregon State campus Saturday and formed the first state Future Teachers' Association. Balentine, 42, former state senator from Klamath county and a prominent Klamath Falls attorney, died early yesterday at his home here. Death was at tributed to a heart attack. Balentine served two terms in the Oregon Senate, had been a police judge in Klamath Falls and at one time was president of tfle Klamath county bar as sociation. Last year Balentine appeared before U.S. Judge Chase Clark to answer charges of failing to file income tax returns. He was placed on one year's probation. Births ST.
