The Grandview Water District will furnish cast iron water pipe valves and hydrants. Pro posals will be publicly opened and read. Proposals shall be in accordance with the Flans, Specifications and Contract documents now on file with the Consulting Engineers, A. D. Har vey & S..C. Watkins, Room 21, Goldy Building. Medford, Oregon. Copies of plans and specifications may be ob tained from the Engineers upon furn ishing a deposit of $25.00 for each set. Such deposit will be returned to con tractors actually submitting bids up on the return of the plans and speci fications to the Engineers in good or der within five days after filing of bids. A charge of $5.00 to cover cost of reproduction will be made in the event planholder does not file a bid. Approximate quantities of major items is 4050 lin. ft. 6" CJ. pipe, 960 lin. ft. 2" galv. pipe. 6 - 6" gate valves, 34 hydrants and auxiliary valves and 15 services. Prequalification of bidders, who have not previously qualified for this district is required in accordance with Oregon Law. Prequalification forms may be obtained from the Engineers upon request. Questionnaires from bidders desiring to submit proposals must be received by 5 :00 P JM., Feb ruary 15, 1956. A certified check payable to the Treasurer, Grandview Water District, in the amount of 5 of the total of the bid or a bidder's bond, executed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Oregon in the same amount as an - evidence of good fatih and intention of the bid der to enter into the contract for the work should it be awarded to him shall be submitted with each proposal. Performance Bond in amount of 100 of the contract price will be required. The Grandview Water District re serves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept such pro posals as may , be deemed to be in the best interest of the District. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof unless the award of contract is delayed for a period of 30 days thereafter.
