It Is True
THAT THE BIBLE, GOD'S HOLY WORD (RE- ,
GARDING WHICH HE SAYS, "HEAVEN AND'
EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS
SHALL NOT PASS AWAY) TEACHES US-
That all men everywhere need to be
.' saved! That is, every person. is by nature
and practice at . "enmity toward God,"
under the "wrath of God," dead to God "in
trespasses and sins" and on his way to a
conscious, lost eternity in the place God ,
calls hell. ' (
. ,
That no amount of denial will alter this
truth. "Thy word is truth."
- That no degree of religiousness, that
church membership, baptism, confirmation,
Communion; that all the good works a hu
man can accumulate in a lifetime cannot
in themselves save us. "Not by works of
' righteousness which we have done." "There
is none righteous." ' C
That true repentance from our own dead
works (good or bad) and a personal, obe
dient faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and as
Savior can deliver from hell and set in the
way to heaven. "He is able also to save '
unto the uttermost them that come unto
God by Him."
