Ghurch and Stage Again
Merged by Bishop Company
The English theater, as most people know, was born before
the altar of the church. The long years of separation between
church ad stage is being brought to an end by The Bishop's Com
pany, first modern company to reunite the forces of religion and
theater.

will again be coast-to-coast and
extended to 15 months.

founder of the Bishop's company
and former staff member of the
Oregon Shakespearean festival

Brothers Meet
After 33 Years
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ludwig,
511 Austin street, have been
hosts recently to a number of
visitors.
Among those here were Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Ludwig, Bay
field, Colo., Mr. Ludwig's broth
er and sister-in-law. It was the
first time in 33 years that the
two brothers had been together.
Here during the holidays were
the Ludwig's granddaughter,
Mrs. Don Stoner, Mr. Stoner
and their three sons, Donnie,
Bryan and Pat, Torrance, Calif.
The couple also visited Mrs.
Stoner's brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Math
eny, Jacksonville, and other rel
atives. Here for the New Year week
end were the Ludwig's son and
daughter-in-law, Cmdr. and Mrs.
Wallace Ludwig and daughters,
Sheri and Sandra. The command
er is stationed at Treasure
Island.
The Ludwigs also were guests
of Mrs. Ludwig's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Lawrence, Euclid
avenue, while here.
