GH TO SCHOOL SPONSORED BY- the Southern Oregon Regional Safety Committee in cooperation with the State Industrial Accident Commission. The State Industrial Accident Commission has announced that the Annua! Governor's Safety Conference will not be held in Portland this year as in the 3 past. Instead they have substituted a series of regional conferences around the state on the theory that such conferences would attract people who would enot otherwise travel to Portland and at the same time this type of conference would more adequately deal with safety problems on a local level. Such a conference has been scheduled for Medford Saturday, December 10, at the Senior High School, and is intended for the general public as well as representatives of Management and Labor from Jackson, Josephine and Klamath Counties. A representative committee from Industry and Laboring groups have been working the past few -months to organize the conference and now announce that plans have been completed for the event. There will be a general assembly in the morning following registration at which time the main speakers of the conference will be presented. In the after noon the conference will break up into discussion panels for the following industries: Logging, Sawmilling, Plywood, Public Utilities, Construction, and a general panel for industries of a less hazardous nature. Featured speakers will address each panel followed by a general discussion of safety problems.
