U.R) John Franklin Summers, a 110 pound man, who is being sued for non-support, told a court he had good reasons for leaving home. Summers said that while he was cleaning house, his 170 pound spouse and her 22-year-old son by a former marriage, took S26 from his wallet, beat him, tore his shirt, and trampled eggs and garbage all over his two best suits. Air Force chief of staff, said today both the Chin ese and Soviet Far East air fore- j es are being modernized with late type planes and other equip- j ment. Referring to, Soviet air forces in the Far East, Twining said, "Whether they're building up I don't know, but they are certain ly reorganizing their forces." Twining was asked to com ment on a published report that the U. S. Far East Air Forces had been given permission to use atomic weapons without Washin ton clearance in certain emer gencies. "I'd rather not discuss that subject. It's:.a little out of my sphere," he replied. Gen. Dean Plans Trip To Alaska Berkeley, Calif. (U.R) Maj. Gen. William F. Dean, retired from the Army after more than three decades of service, map ped plans today for a trip to Alaska to see his grandchildren.
