Obituaries PAUL McENERNY Funeral services are pending at Perl funeral home for Paul McEnerny, 2284 Crater Lake Hwy., who died at a local hos pital yesterday. GERTRUDE NILES Funeral services for Mrs. Ger trude C. Niles, 70, of 1028 Reddy ave., who died in a local hospit al Sunday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. D. Kirkland West officiat ing. Interment will be in Siski you Memorial park, with Reames chapter No: 66, Order of Eastern Star, in charge of committal ser vices. Chapel Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. Casket bearers will be Rob ert Beatty, N. H. Gladfelter, H. D. Christensen, Lester D. Harris, C. E. Chamberlain and Claude C. Holmes. Honorary pall bear ers will be S. C. Watkins, W. Morris Boughner; John C. Smith, Jack Caldwell, M. O. Walker and John Esp. The deceased was born in Cornwall, N.Y., on June 1, 1885. She was married in New York to John Dickerman Niles, who preceded her in death in Med ford in March of 1949. The couple had come to Medford from Minneapolis, Minn, in 1947. Mrs. Niles was a member of the First Presbyterian church, and Reames chapter No. 66, Order of Eastern Star, of which she had been secretary for the past five years. Survivors include a son, Ed ward C, Klamath Falls; four brothers, Eugene Chatfield, Wat- enora, ih.y.; Heroeri cnatiieia, Hoosick Falls, N.Y.: and Frank lin and Ernest Chatfield, both of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Jose phine DeGroat, Medford; four grandsons, John Dickerman Niles, Bruce Edward Niles, and Robert Allen Niles, all of Med ford, and John Gilbert Niles, Dallas,. Tex.; and a great-grarid-son, Mark Allen Niles, Medford. MEDFORD (OREGON MAIL TRIBUNE FITTZEW Safe Burglary Attempts Investigated by Police Two attempted safe burglaries were reported in Jackson coun ty early today, according to state police. They occurred at OK Rubber Welders in Med ford, and OK Rubber Welders in Ashland. Investigating officers said the Medford attempt was unsuccess ful. The safe was pushed to a rear door, but nothing was taken. ' . Details of the attempt at Ash land had not been learned here by noon today. Blue River Logger Killed in Accident Eugene (U.P.) Robert E. Seal, 22-year-old Blue River log ger, was injured fatally yester day while helping load a logging truck about one-half mile east of Nimrod on the McKenzie riv er. A log fell from a truck and rolled over him. He was dead On arrival at a Eugene hospital.
