PH.D. Cancel Wedding Plans Before It's Too Late It is never too late to call off wedding plans, and it is better to do so than marry with the feeling that the marriage will not be happy. (Q) "I have been going with , a boy since I was 14 years old. I am 20 now. We hare been engaged for over a year and are getting married in a month and a half. Now my fiance has bought all the furniture and is paying for the wed ding. He has bought my wed ding ring too. He is very good to me but I don't love him. I thought I did at one lime, but he is very jealous and has a bad temper. We have had some bad arguments. "I am working in an office and have met a fellow a year younger than I. I fell in love with him when we first met, and I know he feels the same way about me. Should I tell my fiance or marry him when I don't love him?" J. L. (A) Call off all plans for your wedding at once. It certainly is not fair to your fiance to consider marrying him, feeling as you do about him. He is entitled to better treat ment from the person he is expecting to Dr. Her lock marry, If you have known him for a period of six yearsx and been engaged for over a year, why did you suddenly discover that he has a bad temper and is jeal ous? Has he always been this way or has this been a recent development? Tell Him Frankly Regardless of this, it still would not be fair to marry him. You should tell him frankly that the arguments you have had have killed your love for him, and ask him to release you from your promise to marry him. As for the other man, you had better take plenty of time to .decide whether or not you really love him. FATHER WASN'T REHABILITATED Father had more fractures, all at one time, than I have had in all my life, but I feel competent to tell what I think was wrong with the treatment of father's fractures. Although my fractures were comparatively' trifling in juries one a mere chipping of the tip of the shoulder in an au tomobile accident and an impact ed Colles fracture (wrist) in a fall off a slippery porch. Father stepped off the sidewalk to point out the North Star and Little Dipper to a group 6f boys one night and fell into an excavation. I'm at a loss to account for the extent of the injuries he sus tained in such a fall less than five feet. He was only about 36 Former Schoolhouse Now Used by Bankers Ithaca, N. Y. U.F There used to be a "wood inspector" for the famed "eight - square schoolhouse" near here. Getting wood was quite a problem when the 140-year-old octagonal-shaped school was in its infancy. Each resident was expected to give his share, and the wood inspector was appoint ed by the school board to make sure that he did. The former schoolhouse is now used as a classroom for members of the New York State Bankers Association who an nually attend a short course in agriculture at Cornell Univer sity. Regular classes in the red brick school were discontinued in 1941. At the mo ment, you are too Confused to be able to make a rational de cision about how you really feel toward this other man.
