Standing in the rain during the unveiling ' of a statue to the late King George VI are, left to right, Princess Margaret; Queen Mother Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. Peter Townsend, in a possible royal snub, received no invitation to the ceremony honoring the man beloved to him and Princess Margaret. It was King George VI who introduced his daughter, Margaret, to his equerry, Townsend, nearly 12 years ago. Jewelry Offered At Chin Up Sale A large collection of agate jewelry and articles of interest of rock collectors will be among the many items .offered for sale at the fifth annual Chin Up club hobby sale, it was announced today by Paul Olson, general " chairman. The event will be held Tuesday, and Wednesday, Nov. 8 and 9, at the Eagles hall, 217 West Main st. A cooked food sale will be, held in connection with the yearly hobby showing. . Money derived from the club's - share of the selling price is used to finance activities for the year and also pays for furnishing favors to convalescent homes ' and' ; the Two One-Vehicle Accidents Injure Two Over Weekend Two one-car accidents were reported to state .: police here early Sunday morning. About 1:55 a.m. Sunday, a vehicle operated by Darrell Mc Casl'n, Glendale, went out of control on . highway 99 near Golcf Hill, rolled over several times and crashed into a fence; McCaslin and his brothers Rob ert and Gerald were not injured. Police said the car apparently got off the pavement onto gravel 9 before it went out of control. Two Injured Two persons were injured when the car in which they were riding went out' of con tl on highway 99 near Bear canyon on the south side of Siskiyou pass about 2:10 a.m. Sunday.- - Ernest Bradbury, route 1, box 418, Ashland, driver of the car, and John Levell, route 1, box 416, Ashland, were taken to Ashland General hospital , with cuts and bruises and possible chest injuries. - Police said the car was north bound and a left tire went flat before Bradbury lost control. Legion To Discuss Stag Party Plans Members of Medford post 15 of the American Legion will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday to make final preparations for the mem bership Stag party at the Cen: tral Point legion hall Saturday, Oct. 29. The party will be sponsored by both Central Point and Med ford Legion posts, and will be highlighted by initiation ' cere monies for new .members at which Congressman Harris Ells worth will give the obligation.
