We Believe.. . THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GODI We re ceive it and teach it as the absolute, final and only authority in all matters--of Christian belief and practice. We believe its teachings about sin and judgment, about salvation and heaven, about the past and about the future. Regarding the Old Testament, the Lord Jesus declared, "The Scripture cannot be broken." About it the Apostle Paul wrote, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God." Peter wrote, "Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy. Ghost." In antici pation of that which came to be called the New Testament, the Lord Jesus said, to His Apostles, ' "The Holy Ghost . . . shall teach you all things, and bring all things unto your rememberance, whatsoever I have said unto you." "He will guide you into all truth." "He that rejecteth me, and re ceiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him:, the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." MEDFORD COMMUNITY GUURGII 227 Vx So. Central Joseph A. Bowdoin, Pastor The above is the first in a series of brief Bible studies setting forth the beliefs and practice of Medford Community Church as an unde nominational Bible believing and teaching Christian fellowship.
