Germany will not take part In the discussions, bat the East and West German states will have observers on hand for consultations 1. fnecessary. West German views on the Blf Four and the future are ex pressed In the following exclusive United Press interview with Dr. Hein rich von Brentano. West Germany's ew foreign minister. By JACK SCHEMEIL United Prats Correspondent . Paris (U.R) West Germany's new foreign minister warned the West today against expecting im mediate results from the Big Four conference at Geneva". He said another meeting may be necessary. "One should not expect mira cles," said Dr Heinrich von Brentano, who took over the Bonn Foreign office from Chan cellor Konrad Adenauer last month. "I do not expect the first tiays of the conference will result in an immediate relaxation of ten sion," Von Brentano said. "But, I believe a following conference at a lower level could do a lot of good work towards preparing a second big power conference, perhaps in October," he added. Third Force' Concept In an exclusive interview with United Press on the eve of Big Three foreign ministers' talks here, Von Brentano did the following: 1: Gave qualified approval of Western Europe's stern arms pool as a "very suitable vehicle" for achieving the "historical necessity" of -unifying Europe. Last week British Prime Min ister Sir Anthony Eden suggested the Western European Union as a possible foundation of a Euro pean security system ending the Iron Curtain. . 2. Rejected both neutralism and the "third force" concept of a power-block between East and West in Germany's future. 3. Said he is "fully convinced" the Paris rearmament treaties can end traditional Franco-German hostility. 4. Predicted the Big Four talks can succeed in lessening international tension "if the So viets so desire." Calls Neutralism Dangerous Neutralism, said the 51-year- o I d lawyer - turned - diplomat, would be a perennial invitation to Bolshevism to conquer our country." "Should Germany one way or another fall under the Influence of the Soviets," Von Brentano said, "the Germans would lose their freedom and the interna tional balance of power would be decisively changed in favor of the East. Aside from that I consider neutralization unthink able since it would prejudice the freedom of a future all-German government to make its own decisions." In answer to a question about a so-called "third force," Von Brentano said he considered the suggestion "very unrealistic." "These speculations are based mainly on the wrong presump tion that a bloc could. In the near future, withstand the pres sure of Soviet Russia, especially in the military field. "They overlook the deadly danger that by such a course, the United States might be pushed into a path of isolationism. v J.' IS1 I S. Lakeview Rancher Locates Uranium Lakeview (U.R) A rich ura nium find was reported yester day by a Lakeview area rancher, who received confirmation of the strike from the U. S. Bureau of Mines at Albany. Rancher and prospector John Roush said he and four others had staked 16 claims in a tree covered, mountainous area nine miles northwest of here. The ore was rated at up to nearly 1.4 per cent uranium by the federal laboratory at Albany. " The strike was the second re ported in eastern Oregon this week. Earlier, it had been re ported that a strike grading 0.1 per cent had been found 50 miles north of the Nevada bor der in Oregon. This is the mini mum content accepted by the Atomic Energy Commission. Roush said his party consisted of his son, Wayland, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tracy and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leehman. The group has already stockpiled nearly 10 tons of ore, he said.
