Zemanek, held in Sacred Heart church. The bride, who hai been living in Seattle since her graduation from St. Mary's school here, is a daughter of Mrs. Ena Singler, 3138 Dark Hollow road, and the late Rudolph F. Singler. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zemanek, Orting, Wash. : The Rev. Charles J. Scott read the double-ring nuptial mass at 11 o'clock in the morning, and William Singler, Medford, escort ed his sister to the altar. The bride's gown was of nylon tulle and imported Chantilly lace over satin. The very full skirt was fashioned with a short train and the close-fitting bodice was of lace with long sleeves and low neckline. The bride's finger tip length veil was held by a crown of tiny lace flowers and seed pearls and she carried a white prayer book and orchid with cascade of ribbon and little bells. Mrs. James Beckiwth, Seattle, was matron-of-honor and other attendants were Mrs. William Sineler. sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Beverly Slutton Carol Iverson, Harvey Hueners Married in Reno Jacksonville Miss Carol Jo Anne Iverson and Harvey Gene Hueners were married June 3 in a two o'clock afternoon cere mony at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Reno, Nev. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Iverson, route 1, box 311C, Medford, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hueners route 1, box 302, Medford. The bride will be a senior stu dent next fall at Jacksonville high school and the bridegroom was graduated June 2 from the same school. He is employed at the Bartlett street store of Safe ways, Inc., in Medford. The Rev. Vernon E. Kotter performed the wedding cere mony. ' ,. The bride wore a light blue knit suit with white accessories. The couple made their wed ding trip to Lake Tahoe, and are living at 221 North Holly street. Their frocks were of figured nylon in pink and aqua marine worn with headdresses of Ester Reed daisies in contrast ing shades. They carried fans of lace and daisies. , George Zemanek, Stockton, Calif., was best man for his brother and- ushers were Tom Zemanek, Tacoma, brother of the bridegroom and Allen Dob- son, Pacific City. Bruno Pellegrini was organist and Mrs. Howard Rickman was soloist The reception which followed at the Medford hotel was for relatives and close friends. The church decorations were baskets of pink and white gladiolus and arrangements of stock and pink peonies. Candelabra held lighted tapers. Table arrangements for the reception were of gladiolus and stock. Mrs. Herbert Dungey took charge of the guest book, Mrs. Richard Coats served punch and Mrs. Rupert Maddox Sr. assisted in cutting the cake. - For the wedding and recep tion the bride's mother wore an aquamarine suit dress with navy blue accessories and her flowers were pink rosebuds. The bride groom's mother wore a blue silk dress with white stole and her flowers were white gardenias. Tne newlyweds traveld to San Francisco and from there flew to the Hawaiian islands for a 10-day honeymoon. They will live in Seattle where Mr. Zam anek is with. Boeing Air Craft corporation. He is, a veteran of service in the United States Air Force. , The bride attended St. Mary's school here and Seattle univer sity. She was born and reared in Medford. June 12. 19S5 Mrs. Frank Musicale Given By Piano Pupils Monday Evening A June musicale was present ed by a group of the piano stu dents of Mrs. Roberta -Ward Bebb at her residence studio Monday evening. A large audi ence attended. The program included compo sitions by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert,' Weber, Chaminade, Leucona, Debussy and Chopin. The piano duet, Weber's "Invi tation to the Dance" was expert ly played by the Misses Diana Getchell and Margaret Selby, and a pleasing interlude was pro vided by a vocal trio composed of the Misses Carolyn' Carr, Kathryn Gott and Diana Get chell singing "Green Cathedral" by Hahn. Dick Arnold presented Mrs. Bebb an orchid as an "expression of love from all the pupils." : Decorations indued a basket of flowers sent by the mother of a former outstanding pupil, Roger Wolf. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the program. The Misses Jane Bash, Margaret Selby and Sandra Kubalek, with Mrs. Bebb received the guests. Participating in the evening of music were Heather Rode, Tom Pepper, Charles Wall, Le Roy Axland, Judy Bash, Lee Mellish, Mary Lee Cole, Carolyn Carr, Michael Phair, Kay Lee Ruhl, Margaret Selby, Diana Getchell, Dick Arnold, Jane Bash and Katherine Gott Home Ceremony Marries Couple Miss Audrey Stembridge be came the bride of Wesley Phil lips in a ceremony held May 28 at the home of the bride's parens Mr. and Mrs. Phil Stembridge, 1300 Stewart avenue. The bride groom, who is from Prospect, is the son of Mrs. Gladys Faulk of Westmorland, Calif., and George Phillips of Snyder, Okla. Dr. Raymond Balcomb of the First Methodist church read the rites and attending the couple were Miss Marjorie Newman and Doyle Henderson. Relatives of the couple attended. V The bride is a student at Med ford Beauty school. The couple is living in Med ford after making a wedding trip to the coast. Students Give Recital Tuesday Mrs. W. E. Hercher held a piano recital at her home, 1608 Stratford avenue, on the eve ning of Tuesday, June 7. Parents and friends of the pupils were invited, and refreshments were served following the recital. Students playing piaao solos and duets were Kathleen Be vis, Linda Morlan and Karen Mor lan. Jeanne Bevis played a flute solo, also. Guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Vincent P. Bevis, Mi chael Finley, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morlan, Mrs. L. Aldrich, Mrs. R. P. Corbin and Mrs. Ronald E. Zemanek (Brainerd Photo) Artist Family Arrive in City; To Open School Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reed Miller and their small son, Kit, have arrived in Medford to make their home. Mrs. Miller is the former Elaine Sherwood, daugh ter of Mrs. Virginia Sherwood, 5 Loring court. Mr. Miller, an artist, plans to establish an art school here for adults and children. A son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Miller, Port land, the young man was grad uated from the University of Oregon's school of fine arts in 1949. He served in the United States Naval Reserve. The Millers were married in 1951 and traveled in Europe for a year, during which time they visited galleries, studios and mu seums in London, Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, Am sterdam and Brussels. Return ing to Oregon the couple resid ed in Portland for a time and for the past year, living in Eu gene, Nelscott, and Depoe Bay, Ore., Mr. Miller has painted steadily, beginning a new direc tion in his work which these areas particularly satisfied, he reports. Two of his paintings will be on displays at Mann's Department store beginning Monday. Mrs. Miller, who majored in English literature at the Univer sity of Oregon, .later was grad uted from the Maria Easterly School of Modeling. She now plans to complete her studies for a teaching certificate at Southern Oregon college in Ash land. The Millers are living at 514 West Jackson street while Mr. Miller seeks accomodations for his proposed school. Golden Wedding To Be Observed Rogue River Mr. and Mrs. Gus Ruehling will celebrate their golden wedding anniver sary with open house at their home in Rogue River Tuesday, June 14. Friends are invited to call between the hours of two and eight o'clock. The celebration is being spon sored by Laurel Garden club of Rogue River. - . Former Teacher Wed in Newberg . Rogue River News of interest here is the wedding June 6 of Miss Esther Mae Moor, a mem ber of the Medford Friends church, and Paul Stanfield, New berg. The ceremony was per formed by Clynton Crisman, pas tor of the Medford church, in the Newburg Friends church. The bride was a teacher in the Rogue River elementary school. The couple will live at New berg. 4 Return Mrs. Amanda Cherry and her niece, Mist Peggy Jackson, have returned from Eugene, where they attended graduation cere monies at Willamette High school Tuesday. Mrs. Cherry's niece, Mist Patricia Felt, was a member of the class. Mrs. Cher ry and Miss Jackson also attend ed a wedding while in Eugene. , V lovely Perma for Eagle Point Couple Married In Community Church . Service Eagle Point Miss Sally Eccleston became the bride of Wil liam Jackson, airman first class in the United States Air Force, in a ceremony heft May 28 at Eagle Point Community church. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl V. Eccleston, Eagle Point, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Eldon E. Jackson, Eagle Point, The couple exchanged wed ding vows at seven o'clock in Ceremony Weds Deloris Ross James Grissom Lake Creek Miss Deloris Lor raine Ross became the bride. June 5 of Donald James Gris som in a ceremony at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. D. E. Mil lard near Eagle Point. The Rev. Mr. Millard performed the cere mony at 2 o'clock in the after noon. The bridegroom is a rancher in the Lake Creek vicinity and the couple will live on the ranch in their new home now nearly completed. The bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Davis, recently moved to Lake Creek from Medford and the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Amy Grissom, also lives in Lake Creek. The bride wore a beige shan tung suit with white accessories and her corsage was a white orchid. The Rev. and Mrs. Millard fur nished the wedding music. The bride moved with her par ents to Medford from Minnesota in 1936 and is a Medford Senior high school graduate. She is em ployed by the Stevens corpora tion in Medford. The bride groom, a native of this county, was born in Ashland and has lived the most of his life in Lake Creek. He was graduated from Eagle Point high school and served for more than a year with the 11th armored division in the Army. Piano Teacher Presents Pupils Mrs. Alta Robinson, who teaches piano at Kogue River academy, presented her students in a recital last Monday evening in the Academy chapel. Taking part were Linda Lewis, Irita Snyder, Larry Snyder, Mar cella, Muriel and Ruth Wilbur, Aura Lindgren, Sharon Bolman, Ella McCarty, Beth Siemsen, Kent Randall, Rita Faye Ross, Deanna Hamlin, Joanne Hoyt, Phyllis Gregg, Beverly Hamil ton, Beverly Fjarli, Beverly Paulson, Meggie Frye, Coral Bisseger, Carolyn and Ardith Glassford, Katie Tooly, Lois Wil son, Jimmie Pearce and Carolyn Bigger of Medford and Ashland. Mary Lou Bishop of Phoenix and Joyce,-Royal and Ruth Har ger of Central Point also were oh the program. Keitha and Lowell Weister of Grants Pass gave vocal numbers during the recital. Refreshments were served to a large group of relatives and friends who made up the audience. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth WHson of Myrtle Creek, parents of Lois Wilson, were present. Mrs. Ray Chamberlain played the wedding music and Miss Joanne Henderson sang. Garden flowers in pastel col ors decorated the church, and arrangements of dogwood and rhododendron made up the re ception decorations. ; The bride's gown was white nylon lace, designed ballerina style, and she carried a white orchid encircled with lily-of-the-valley. Miss Betty Eccleston was honor attendant for her sister. Miss Cathy Eccleston, another sister, and Mrs. Larry Buchanan, sister of the bridegroom were bridesmaid and matron, and Jeanie Jackson, niece of the bridegroom from Coos Bay, was flower girl. The maid-of -honor wore a frock of yellow and her bouquet and headdress were of dutch iris. The other attendants wore frocks of blue and their flowers were dutch iris. ' Mr. Eccleston gave his daugh ter in marriage and Peter Jack son was best man for his brother. Jerry Robeson, North Bend and George Jackson, another brother of the bridegroom, seated the guests. The reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's par ents. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Leonard Lindall and Miss Phyllis Devore. Punch and coffee were poured by Mrs. Larry Nelson, Mrs. Dave Jack son and Miss Anna Carlson. About 100 guests attended the wedding and reception. For the event the bride's mother wore a two-piece dress of avocado green and beige and the bridegroom s mother was at tired in a two-piece dress of aquamarine color. Their corsages were of pink carnations and val ley lilies. Here for the wedding were S. H. Lewis, Redding, Calif., grandfather of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lindall and fam ily, the bridegroom's brother-in- law and sister from Corvallis, and three aunts of the bride, Mrs. Henry Steward, Lakeview, Ore., Mrs. Paul Smalley, Red ding and Miss Pansy Lewis, Lakeview, Mr. Steward and Mr. Smalley. Mr. Jackson and his bride traveled to the, Oregon coast for their wedding trip and will live in Great Falls, Mont., after June 15. Both attended Eagle Point schools and the bride has been employed by Pacific Telephone and Telegraph company. -.. r4 To Convention Miss Marilyn Miller, daughter of Mayor and Mrs. Earl Miller, 617 Park street, will attend a district convention of the Phi Mu sorority at Portland June 16 through 19. G. Casebeer home, 1012 Win chester avenue. The group presented the cou ple a gift and served refresh ments.
