Flue Fire A flue fire oc curred at the home of Charles Champlin, 621 J st., about 7 p.m. yesterday. Firemen said that soot in the flue burned out, causing no damage. Business Name W. R. More Today Two Medford families moved today from the west side to the east side. They are the Don Arants, formerly of 815 West Main st., who moved to 1504 Terrace dr., and the Tom McFaddens, from 530 South Grape st., to 185 Black Oak dr. Buy Property Mr. and Mrs. James Keeble, 107 Black Oak dr., have purchased the F. Corn ing Kenly property on the Jacksonville-Phoenix highway. The property includes the home and about six acres. The Keebles plan to move there in the near future. Pioneer Club The Pioneer club will meet Saturday night at Kershaw's square. Garbage Fire City firemen said they extinguished a garbage fire in the 500 block on Mae st about 6:10 p.m. yesterday and informed the parties responsi ble that garbage burning within the city limits is prohibited. The firemen had been called to check a complaint that the fire was causing an offensive odor in the neighborhood. Sentenced Charles Wright Irion, 18, Talent, was given a suspended 90-day jail sentence in district court yesterday on a charge of petty larceny, accord ing to court records. The charge involves food and cooking uten sils owned by Archie Fern. Two other boys, both 16 years of age, were picked up by sheriff's depu ties in connection with tht same case. c Changes Plea Webb Hol land Burke, 38, of Star route, Box 92, Eagle Point, changed his plea from innocent to guilty yes terday in district court and was fined $250 and court costs on a charge of driving while intoxi cated, according to court rec ords. Burke received a suspend ed 30-day jail sentence, and his operators' license was suspended for 90 days. Pre-Schocl Clinie Parent Teacher association members have announced a clinic on Tuesday, May 17, for young sters entering the Phoenix school next fall. The clinic will be conducted at the Phoenix Com munity club building by the Jackson county health depart ment. Parents planning to bring youngsters to the clinic are asked to telephone Mrs. A. H. Mac Kintosh (Medford 3-1160) for ap pointments. Issued Permits John Breeze, 30S South Grape st., Medford, was Issued a building permit to erect a machine shop valued at $3,500. Other permits have been issued R. L. Miss Artderson and her father left earlier' for Minneapo lis, Minn., where they attended a reunion of his brothers and sis ters and other relatives. May 13, 1955 Obituary HELEN CUNNINGHAM Funeral services for iirs. Helen L. Cunningham, 55, who was found dead in her apart ment at 207 West Main st. Wed nesday, will be held in Conger Morris chapel Saturday, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Nich olas J. Deis officiating. The re mains will be taken to San Fran Cisco for interment in Golden Gate National cemetery beside her late husband, Nick C. Cun ingham, Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. The deceased was born March 22, 1900, in Idaho, and had lived in southern Oregon for the past seven years. She was married in Oakland, Calif., in 1928. Survivors include a son, Rob ert L., Hayward, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Melvin Johnson, Portland, Ore.; a brother, W. J. Ferbrache, Coquille, Ore.; six grandchil dren and four, nieces. MARIE HANSEN , Mrs. Marie Hansen, 64, of 22 West Jackson st., died yesterday in a local hospital. Conger-Morris funeral home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Edward Joseph Railton, 1701 Oregon ave., Medford, reported the theft of three racks, valued at $10 each and containing about $4 each, which were taken from in front of the Trailways Bus depot, 148 North Front st. Two racks, valued at $10 each and containing an unknown amount of currency, were taken from in front-of Pulver's Motel, 1237 North Riverside- ave., Louis August Erbes reported to police.
