Gail Stone could snare any crooning tips she wanted Aline 3Iosby over the break fast table, for her sisters are Rosemary and Betty Clooney. Rosemary is a star of CBA ra dio and TV and Paramount mov ies with younger Betty close behind. Now the junior member of the Clooney clan, half - sister Gail, is following in their foot steps with an early start of her own. "But they don't give me les sons," Gail insisted today. "They let me sing the way I want to." Comeback at 10 Gail's singing career started at age 6 when she sang "She's a Lady" with Sister Betty on the Robert Q. Lewis show. She then retired and emerged this year at the ripe age of 10 on Rosemary' radio program. Rosemary and Gail recently re corded two children's hymns. This summer th2y plan an al bum of children's records. Gail was sitting in the den of Rosemary's Beverly Hills home today and appeared more absorb ed in raffle tickets she's selling for her grammar school than in her first interview. Gail has lived with Rosemary and her husband, Jose Ferrer, for two yean because Gail's mother had to tour with sister "Betty. " "We we're happy to have Gail. Joe loves her," Rosemary ex plained. "They play chess together. "I keep her work to bare min imum while she's in school. I think work is fine for a child if done in moderation. It's wonder ful experience, even if she doesn't use it later on. Profes sionalism is good to know. Keep Balance "I have also tried to teach Gail it's awful to have such a driving ambition that you forget to be a woman. I want her to keep her balance." Rosemary and Betty started to sing together occasionally when they were aged 6 and 3. They began professionally on the radio at 16 and 13. All three girls have "a family resemblance" in their voices, Rosemary thinks. Gail hopes to be both a singer and a dancer when she grows up. After two years of living with the Ferrers, Gail is calm about celebrities who stream thorugh the house. She didn't bat an eye lash today when Marlene Diet rich swept in to give Rosemary a pink negligee to take when she opens at the Sands hotel in Las Vegas tomorrow.
