Fooilighfers Plan
Work Parly Sunday
Mrs. Max Wimmer, president
of the Footlighters community
theater group, said today- the
.public is invited to attend a
"work party" Sunday afternoon
at the Fairgrounds.
iviemoers 01 xne group, men
friends and any others interested
will work on the site where the
building will be situated after
it is moved.
The present two-story struc
ture, near the highway, is being
cut down to one story and moved
about 500 feet east to provide
room for the new armory build
ing. Workmen have so far taken
away most of the lower floor ex
cept the pillars supporting the
upper structure. The pillars will
be cut soon, and the upper sec
tion lowered on jacks for mov
ing. Will Dig HoIm
The Sunday project will be to
di2 40 holes and prepare con
crete forms, which will be filled
to serve as supports for the
building when it is moved.
Mrs. Wimmer said that coffee
will be served to those attending
the work project. The event will
get under way at about 2 p.m.
The theater group president
said that interest in the Foot
lighters remains high, despite
the fact that activities have been
limited by the building being un
available. But the new, one-story
theater, which will be somewhat
remodeled and altered to provide
better facilities, will be the
"answer to our dreams," Mrs.
Wimmer said, and added that the
group expects interest and en
thusiasm to continue.
