Correct Names Listed
For Garden Club Show
Mrs. C. C. Sater had charge
of the herb exhibit and Mrs.
J. D. Hoist the bird exhibit for
the recent spring flower show
of Medford Garden club. These
names were incorrectly listed in
a recent account of the show.
The herb exhibit included
the common plants or herbs
which are poisonous, and also
medicinal herbs. One thing of
interest was a belt made of lav
ender; it Is the custom of the
women of the Lette family of
Tasmania, Australia, to wear
these under their formal gowns.
In the bird exhibit Mrs. Hoist
displayed bird houses, feeders,
and nest material. A shrine to
St. Francis, patron saint to birds
was also exhibited.
