Mrs. Eunice McCann, 54, of 1023 Maple Park dr., suffered bruises and was taken to Sacred Heart hospital by Medford am bulance. She was in satisfactory condition today, hospital auth orities said. Vern "D" Dahlke. 17, of 411 Haven st., suffered a . broken rib, police said, and was treated by a prate physician. Vehicles Collide Police said a car . driven by Glenn Fredrick Schneider, 1615 East Main st., Medford, and a Yellow Cab driven by Wayne Fred Johnson, 330 North Holly st., Medford. collided at the in tersection. The Schneider veh icle, police said, skidded 67 feet 5 inches before it struck the Yellow Cab. Police cited the operator of the Yellow Cab for driving with no operator's license. In another accident yesterday, vehicles operated by Samuel Mallow, route 1, box 460, Cen tral Point, and Harold Theodor Breedlove, 909 South Stage rd., collided on East Main st., be tween Bartlett st., and Riverside ave. No citations were issued, police said. Box Containing Jewelry Stolen from Apartment A cigar box containing more than S100 worth of jewelry in cluding two ladies wristwatches, has been reported taken from an apartment at 330 North Holly st., Medford police said today. The theft occurred sometime between April 27 and about 5 ,p.m. yesterday, police said. The box was missing from the ap artment of Rita Alicia Golden. Among pieces of jewelry were a set of silver cuff links valued about $7, two wristwatches, val ued at $90, a strand of pearls valued at about $12, two silver dollars and other miscellaneous jewelry, police said. Fresh dresed fryera to Obituary CHRISTINA MILLER Remains of Mrs. Christina Miller, 83, who died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Clarence Davies, Eagle Point, Monday, were to be forwarded today by Perl funeral home to Enterprise, Ore., for services and interment. The deceased was born in Norway on Aug. 10, 1871, and has been a southern Oregon res ident for the past two months. She came to the United States when she was 16 and was mar ried to Martin P. Miller, in Fill more county, Minnesota, in 1889. In addition to Mrs. Davies, survivors include four daugh ters, Ella Dougan, Portland; Laura Clark, San Jose, Calif.; Nora Anderson, Enterprise, and Julia Davies, Eagle Point; four sons, Alfred, San Jose; Julius, Garden Valley, Ida.; Marcus, Enterprise, and Conrad, Spring field, Ore.; three sisters, Mary Watne, Cooperstown, N.D.; Em ma Anderson, Heppner, Ore., and Gena Ballou, Escada, Ore.; three brothers, Swen Haaland and Christian Haaland, both of Cooperstown, and Carl Haaland, Washington; 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. WILLIAM TETHEROW Funeral services for William Miles Tetherow, 83, who died Monday at his home on the Cen tral Point-Jacksonville road will be held at Perl funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Whitney of Central Point officiating. Interment will be in Phoenix cemetery. , ' Pall bearers will be Joe John son, Ralph McKenzie, Glen Downing, Dave Blumenstein, Henry Downing and Karl Kite. The deceased was born in Shedd, Ore., on Aug. 21, 1871, and was superintendent of roads in Jackson county, retiring in 1943. He was married to Bertha Elfers who survives, in Douglas, Wash., in 1898. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Jones, Medford, and Mrs. Hazel Mey er, Lake Creek, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Weir Coulee City, Wash., and four grandsons Har old and Leland Meyer, Eagle Point; Stanley Jones Jr., Med ford, and Kenneth H. Darnell, 26, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident Sunday, are being taken by Conger-Morris funeral home to Burns, Ore., for services and interment there Wednesday. The deceased was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Burns, and had lived at Tiller about one year. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korea war, serving from Jan. 11, 1947 to May 1, 1948, as a Private First Class with the 548th Military Police company at Fort Delesseps, Panama Canal Zone. He also served as a Cor poral with the 6230th R.C., at Fort Ord, Calif., from Oct. 7, 1950, to Nov. 20, 1951. On Oct. 16, 1948, at Klamath Falls, he was married to Carol Agnes Peter lin, who survives. Other survivors include two children, Linda Lee and Kay Marie; and his parents, Bert Dar nell, Canyon City, Ore., and Mrs. May Kinney, Cloverdale, Calif. May 3, 1955 Burglary Charge Here Faces Washington Man Allan Robert Rogers, 29, Span away, Wash., is scheduled to be returned here from Tacoma, Wash., to face charges of burg lary, according to Sheriff How ard Gault. Rogers has ' been arrested in Tacoma on a Jackson county warrant charging him with tak ing part in a burglary committed March 28 at Hunter's tavern, Crater Lake highway Four cor ners. Extradition papers are being prepared for his return here, the sheriff said. VALUABLE DOG POISONED A Dachshound valued at $400, owned by Mrs. Hazel Corene McCandless, 501 Oak st, died of strychnine poisoning over the week end, according to police reports. The dog, which was three years . old, -became sick about 8:30 p.m. and died about a half hour later Saturday, po lice said. The dog was taken to a veterinarian.
