Softballers Meet - at -Y This Evening Medford Softball association will convene tonight and the session is expected to deter mine whether there will be formal league play in the sport in Medford this summer. There has been little or no response to calls for meetings by President Herb Vessey so far this year. But interest has apparently picked up a bit since Vessey announced that a session would be held this eve ning at the Medford YMCAi It was stated that loop play might be abandoned unless to night's meeting is well at tended and more interest is shown. TALENT OFFER It is hoped, however, that tonight's group will be large enough that some organiza tion can be undertaken and some plans made for the forth coming season. Among mat ters to be discussed will be the possibility of a season of twilight ball instead of play under lights there. The feasibility of combining the softball association and the Medford Independent Basket ball League under one admin istration has also been talk ed informally and that suggest ion may be thrashed out to night. Officers and team represen tatives of both groups have been asked by Vessey to be present. All persons interest ed in softball are invited to the meeting.
