something to top. A resident of
the Golden State says he has
been using the same typewriter
for fifty-three yars! He bought
it in 1902 and it still works fine.
It was made in the U.S.A.
Asking

Howard Hughes, the Texas and
Hollywood multimillionaire, a
bachelor? A. A bachelor is a man
who has never been married. Mr.
Hughes has been married once.
However, he is unmarried at
this time. Q. "Who starred in the
New York production of George
Bernard Shaw's play, -"The
Mind-the-Paint-Girl?" Has that
play been filmed? A. Play you
refer to was not written by Shaw
but by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero.

Note It said that five cups of

used to be my limit but I have
increased my quota a little. I
have four cups of coffee for

People who order fried eggs
turned over don't deserve to

four minutes. Incidentally, a
man who insists his eggs bej
unusually soft generally makes
a difficult husband. Is fussy
about other things and drives
his loving wife ragged with his
demands. Have your daughter
keep this in mind. Before she
accepts a man who proposes mar
riage, tell her to be certain to
ask him, "how do you like your
eggs boiled?"

the subway. Or, so say the star
gazers. . . . Eyesight expert says

blondes. Could that be the rea
son the brunettes have better

haired child. However, did you
ever hear of a husband and wife
both having jet black hair whose
children are all red haired? It
has happened. A British couple,
John and Pauline Earle, both

ed children. A set of twins and
a set of triplets. Three boys,

Medford Man Involved
In Montana Collision
Missoula, Mont. (U.R) Leo J.
Pauley, 50, Bonner, died here
last night from injuries received
25 miles east of here Sunday
when the car in which he was
riding was involved in a col
lision with another auto.
Pauley, his wife and Mrs.
Paul Cyr were passengers in a
car driven by Cyr. The state
patrol said the Cyr car started
to turn left across the highway
when it collided with a west
bound car driven by Robert
Bailey of Medford, Ore.
Cyr pleaded guilty to careless
