Lodge Team To Visit in California The degree team of the losal Pocahontas lodge has been in vited to perform the initiation ceremonies at a district lodge meeting to be held February 26 la San Franrisco, officers an nounced last week. Team mem bers will be the guests of the Seminole council at a banquet that will precede the meeting. Those who will make the trip are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sin gler, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Stelle, Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Aldredge, Mrs. Ruth Iverson, Mrs. R. E. Wicker, Mrs. Noel Erskine, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Arval Hayes, Mr. and Mr. Charles Dooms, Mrs. Juan ita Barr, Mrs. James Wicker and Mrs. James Grigsby. The Medford council is one of the two active councils in Ore gon. In California, officers point ed out, there are 250 councils and throughout the United States about 1,400. They also explained that although the organization is not well known in Oregon, it is one of the oldest patriotic or ders in the United States. The first council fire was kindled February 28, 1887, in Philadel phia, Pa. The Hawaiian dancers reoresenied the seventh grade room, since each grade provides one act for the show. Nor velle May was stage manager and Robert Taylor master of cere monies. Esther circle Hold Work Sessions will meet at the home of Mrs. Minnie Albert, 1003 West Eleventh street; Ruth circle, home of Mrs. Donn V. Piatt, 30 Laurel street and Martha circle, at the home of Mrs. R. S. Wilder, 712 Alder street. Kiwanian Dames Scout Luncheon Set for Tuesday Kiwanian Dames of Medford will hold the annual Girl Scout luncheon and meeting at the home of Mrs. Dwight Houghton, 512 Dakota avenue, Tuesday, February 22 at 12:30 p.m. Mrs. Elliott Duffy, Mrs. Mi chele Rossi, and Miss Mary Ald rick, Girl Scout executives, will be guest speakers for the after noon. A special program will be pre sented by the Girl Scouts of Troop 16, Washington school. Hostesses and serving commit tee will be Mrs. Anthony Manno, Mrs. E. Ronald Rice, Mrs. Frank Perl, Mrs. William Peek, Mrs. Jack Walker and Mrs. Everett Faber. . Further information may be obtained by calling Mrs. Darroll Davis, telephone 2-5672. The famous Vienna Choir Boys will, sing here Monday, Feb ruary 21 for Jackson County Civic Music association. The concert is set for 8 p.m. at Medford Senior High school auditorium. The program will be divided into three groups, with the second to be a costumed operetta. The first choir was organized' more .than 400 years ago, and this is the 11th tour wkich the choir has made m this country in recent years. Daughters Meet In Central-Point; Mother Honored Central Point Reports of the recent district inspection held in Central Point and termed "oper ation friendship", were given at a meeting of Job's Daughters of Central Point February 10.
