Die in Cabin Fire
"' Olathe, Kan. ' (U.R) Two
small children lost their lives in
a cabin fire at Gardner Lake,
southwest of here, late yester
day. The victims were three-
year-old Peter John La Mirande
and his 22-month-old sister,
Linda.
They were the children of Mr.
and Mrs. Peter J. La Mirande
Sr. The father is an airman first
class with the 2472nd reserve
flying center at the Olathe Naval
Air Base. ' ' " -
His home was listed as. Bend,
Ore.
The parents were not at home
when the fire broke out. The
father rushed . from. ' a : nearby
tavern where he . was working
as a partime employee and at
tempted to rescue; the children
but was driven back by flames.

a .22-calibre rifle which allegedly-killed

Farm Price Outlook

outlook now is "encouraging."
He said it would be "a grave and
costly mistake" to repeal the ad
ministration's flexible farm price
support program and restore
rigid high supports for basic
crops. ..

also warned against any move to
legislate an increase in dairy
price supports five per cent

Refuel Flying Boat;

boat has been refueled from a
submarine for the first time, the
Navy announced today. The feat

sea-based striking power.
The seaplane-submarine com
