Vagrants Three men pleaded

projection equipment and screen
of the Craterian theater is now
under way, it was announced to
day by Robert Corbin, district
manager for Robert L Lippert

The work will allow the thea
ter to show moving pictures in
new mediums including Cinema
scope, Super . Scope,; and Wide
Screen. VThe projection booth is
being : equipped with. Stereo
phonic sound to allaw reproduc
tion of the new four track high
fidelity sound recordings. - -
y The new screen will entirely
fill: the.-proscenium arch of the
theater, according to Corbin. He
estimated that the entire project
will cost several thousand dol
lars. At the present time,the"Hp!lZ
theater in Medford is- the only
one in this area equipped for the
new mediums. Corbin' noted
that, "More and more' of k the
better films are being made in
the new mediums and the Cra
terian is needed to allow . local
patrons to see these pictures on
an up to date basis.

Calif., he joined the U.S. Army
and was stationed ' at Hickam
field, Honolulu, Hawaii, remain
ing there two years.. At the out
break of World War II he en
listed in the U.SNavy and was
assigned - to the cruiser Atlanta.
At the termination; of the war
he engaged in the taxicab busi
nes at Vallejo, Calif. He was a
member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his father,
Harry L. Young, Yreka, Calif.;
a sister, Mrs. Mildred ; Kollen
born, Chico, Calif.; , two step
sisters, Mrs. Muriel Ling, Yreka,
and Mrs.. Claire Buckner, Port
land; two step-brothers, Ray
mond - Burr is, r Hoquiam, Wash.,
and Hal Burris, San Mateo; and
several nieces and nephews.

are the target of a bill soon to
be introduced in the - Oregon
legislature by Portland Repre

The bill "., would rephrase the
present slow driver bill now ' on

The current statute makes it a
misdemeanor to drive so ' slow
as to impede or" block traffic.
The new proposal, will allow
the speed control board to set
minimum . as . well., as maximum
speeds. ,
It calls for.the posting of both
speeds on the highway.
