YMCA Activities Told for Rofariahs By T Members Six members of the Medf ord YMCA of varying ages formed a panel to discuss the activities of the local "Y" before the Med f ord Rotary club Tuesday at a 'luncheon meeting at the Jackson hoteL Participating in the pro gram were Eleanor Davis, presi dent of the Tri-Hi-Y, Harold Ashton, Hi-Y president, ; Frank Bash Jr., president of the Youth Council, and Ann Manno, . Perry Whitlock and Bill Dames. Ann Manno, -whose hobbies include , swimming and stamp collecting, told Rotarians of the many phases of swimming in struction provided by the YMCA. 'The interesting and instruc tive camping program of the "Y" at the Diamond Lake camp were described 'by Bill Dames, while ; Perry : Whitlock further outlined the .program of swim ming courses in the YMCA pool. Bill' is a champion of the Y Olympics competition which in cludes chin-ups, basketball and baseball, standing broad jump, potato race, etc. Tells Significance . . The significance and meaning of membership in the Tri-Hi-Y, which ! opens new avenues for social enjoyment to high school, junior , high , and . YMCA girls, were explained by Eleanor- Da vis. This ' christian organization for girls sponsored a Christmas party during the past holiday season as a benefit for needy families in' this area. Frank Bash Jr. outlined the scope of program of the Youth Council, with membership , of youth lead ers of local schools. It ; is the Council's aim to plan youth ac tivities, and social gatherings to utilize -fully the facilities of Medf ord's fine YMCA building. The objective of the Hi-Y en gaged in spiritual and spcial ac tivities on an international scale were told by Harold Ashton.
