Many medi cal men think it is a mistake to try to cure a cold too quickly. Let it run its course. These phy sicians claim a cold is one of nature's ways of cleansing poi sons out of the system and that the sufferer is in better health after the cold is over. Horses and Women It is of vital importance to a young man wishing to advance his interests with a female to determine what she considers her "good points." If she fea tures strapless evening gowns, she thinks the beauty of her neck, -shoulders and back is above the average. To get off to a good start, all the man has to say is, "you really have a beautiful back." A woman fond of wearing shorts thinks she has limbs a la Dietrich. If she smiles on the slightest provocation, she is proud of her teeth or her dim ples. If she winks she wants to call your attention to her beau tiful, big blue eyes. If she wears low cut dresses, she thinks she has plenty of male attraction a la Jane Russell. If a beautiful female shows a tendency to dis cuss politics' and non-fiction best sellers, it indicates she wants to be considered a brainy beauty. So don't fail to compliment this type on her intelligence. Just say to her, "what an unusual combination of brains and beau ty you are. And such a wonder ful sense of humor!" Get It Right " To say a camel can go eight days without a drink of water is giving voice to an incomplete and misleading statement. A camel cannot go eight days with out a drink in the summer. His limit then is three days. In the winter he can go 10 days with out a drink of water. It should be kept in mind that a camel drinks about 20 gallons of wa ter in one gulp. DiTardo could have gotten out n parole 10 years ago. 'He re jected; that opportunity, as he has done ever since. , -..His job is tending cells in the prison's Old Spanish Cell block. He has an iron key more than a foot long to the door of his own cell. In his cell are his most cherished possessions, a 1927 model phonograph and a collec tion, of records. He is the only prisoner to have a phonograph in his cell. DiTardo was sentenced to hang for murdering his wife 35 .years ago. However, an appeal, new trial and a guilty verdict sent him to San Quentin prison for a life term. Warner Brothers studio an nounced Wayne had cut short his honeymoon in New York to re place Mitchum opposite Lauren Bacall in the cast of Batjac Pro ductions' film. Wayne, a produc tion partner in the Batjac Com pany with Robert Fellows, was to report to location at San Rafael, Calif., today. Mitchum was fired from the cast last week after, he was ac cused of dunking a member of the company, transportation di rector George Coleman, in the ocean and also of maintaining an uncooperative attitude.
