Triller-Tepdvac Ceremony Held 4n Grants Pass Gold Hill Miss Joyce Tepo vac, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tepovac Gold Hill, and George Roland Triller, son of Mrs. Mary Triller, Grants Pass and Joe Triller Murphy, were Shamed by the Rev. Glenn Diller jt Redwood country church in Grants Pass December 31. Mrs. J. L. Colson, Grants Pass, was pianist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore white net over taffeta with a shadow lace jacket and carried a white Bible with a gold orchid. The rhine- stone necklace she wore belong ed to her aunt, Mrs. James Moran, Grants Pass. Mrs. Ken Hobson, Gold Hill, was matron of honor. Her dress was pink net over taffeta with rhinestone trim and her corsage was of white carnations. . Sherrell Bushnell, Grants Pass, was best man and Howard Baker, Rogue River, an uncle of the bride, was usher. - The bride's mother was dress ed in black taffeta with white , accessories and white carnation - corsage. The bridegroom's moth er wore black nylon with black accessories and white carnation corsage.. j The reception was held in the ehurch annex. The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Roy Centers, Gold Hill and the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ruth Davis, Rogue River. Mrs. James Martin, Gold Hill, fister of the bridegroom, poured the punch and Miss La Vena Hardin, cousin of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Mr. and Mrs. George Roland Triller Eastern Star Chapter Hold Annual Temple Ceremony Officers for Reames chapter, Order of Eastern Star, were installed at Medford Masonic temple January 8. Taking office as worthy matron was Mrs. Jack Ward, who succeeds Mrs. John Esp. Dr. Thomas W. Dixon led prayer and Mr. Esp, retiring pa tron, led the pledge of alle giance to the flag, which was fol lowed by the national anthem. Mrs. Esp gave the welcoming ad dress. Installed with Mrs. Ward were Morris Boughner, worthy patron; Mrs. E. G. Randolph, associate matron; Norman Svenson, asso ciate patron; Mrs. Gertrude Niles, secretary; Mrs. Jack Clark, treasurer; Mrs. Morris Boughner, conductress; Mrs. Etta McKin ney, associate conductress; Mrs. Henry Halvorsen, chaplain; Mrs. Verner Lugnet, marshal; John Lusk, organist; Mrs. Bill Laur ine, Adah; Mrs. Earl Knight, Ruth; Mrs. Ross Gilkison, Esther; Mrs. Carl Oestreich, Martha; Mrs. Lloyd Caton, Electa; Mrs. Floyd Watkins, warder; Ross Gil kison, sentinel. Miss Axa Hibbard, queen of Medford Job's Daughters, and Kenneth Piland, master coun cilor of Medford Order of DeMo lay, acted as honor guards while Mrs. Ward was at the altar for the obligation ceremony. The Hillah Shrine chanters sang "The Lord's Prayer" and other num bers. Mrs. Ward was presented red roses by Jacqueline and Tommie Ward, her grandchil dren. The new worthy .matron and patron spoke, and Herbert Dan iels sang, accompanied by Mr. Lusk. The program closed with the mizpah benediction,, and a reception followed. For the installation Mrs. Ward wore a gown of white net over taffeta with a panel of lace on the skirt front and a lace bodice. Rhinestones trimmed the lace. Committees Named For Valentine Party; Mother Given Degree Committees for a valentine party were appointed during a meeting Thursday of Talisman Rosebud council, . Pythian Sim shine Girls. Public Ceremony; Officers Named ; Officers of Talisman . temple, Pythian Sisters and nights of Pythias, will be installed dur ing a joint public ceremony Mon day, January 17, . at 8 p.m., in the Pythian building. A program and refreshments are planned. Officers of both lodges are asked to meet today at 4 p.m. at the building to practice for the ceremonies. Frank F. Converse of Medford was elected royal vizier to head Fuhat Burkan temple, DOKK, for 1955 at an annual election Saturday evening. George P. Hinsdale of Roseburg is the new grand emir, and bthers'from Medford are Edward E. Bost- wick, sheik; Leroy F. Cline, ma hedi: Joe W. Fntsch, . was reelected secretary; James P, O'Duane, satrap, and Lewis E Conger, sahib. Robert H. Wed lock, Rogue River, was elected treasurer. Public installation of these officers together with recently elected officers of Idella Rogue santha, Nomads 6f Avrudaka, is tentatively set for Saturday evening, Februarv 5, in the Med ford Pythian building. Both the DOKKs and Nomads comprise the area from Roseburg to Dunsmuir in California and Klamath Falls. The parent order, the Knights of Pythias and the Pythian Sisters, will meet for a grand lodge and grand temple convention of Oregon in Med ford next October. This will be preceded by a far western DOKK and Nomad convention when about 850 visitors are ex pected to come to the Rogue valley and Medford. -. . Wednesday evening nine mem bers from here attended and took part in a ceremony conferring the rank of knight upon five esquires of the lodge at the Grants Pass Pythian building. Church Service Held Last Month Marries Couple Eagle Point Mr." and Mrs. Eugene Wayne Eccleston, whose wedding was an event of De cember 23, are living at 526 South B street in Eagle Point. Carnes, Eagle Point. , The bridgegroom, an employee of the Cascade Wood products, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Eccleston of Shady Cove. The Rev. Glenn S. Wade per formed the double ring cere mony at 8 o clock in the evening at the Eagle Point Community Bible church. Mrs. Gerald E. Adamson, Tacoma, Wash., a sis ter of "the bride was matron of honor, and two other sisters, Mrs. John Salvestro, Hilt, Calif., and Mrs. Leland Meyer, assisted at the reception which was held at the Carnes home. Fifty guests attended. 1 ' Charles ' Eccleston, Shady Cove, was best man for his brother. , Don Falkenhagen, Medford, and Bill Caldwell and Eddie Peile were the ushers. Mr. Carnes gave his daughter m marriage. Her gown was made with a lace bodice and a floor length nylon net skirt over satin. Her fingertip length veil was held from a coronet of net and seed pearls and she carried a colonial bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Mrs. Adamson wore a light green gown of embroidered nylon over net. Her bouquet also was of white chrysanthe mums. Baskets of white and red chrysanthemums with laurus tinus and branches of Port Or ford cedar furnished the church decorations. : Miss Joanne Hen derson was soloist and Miss Pat. Perr, pianist. . For her daughters wedding Mrs. Carnes wore a charcoal colored dress with black acces sories. Her corsage was of white chrysanthemums. The bridegroom's mother wore a . black and pink dress with black accessories and her cor sage was also of white chrysan themums. The bride was graduated in 1954 from Eagle Point high school and. has lived her entire life in this area. The bridegroom attended Medford, Myrtle Creek and Eagle Point schools. She gave a resume of the accomplishments of the 18 young women who have received the Amelia Ear hart scholarship from Zonta In ternational since .1940. The scholarship in honor of the ' famed aviatrix is granted to a young woman for a year's graduate study in aeronautical engineering and is the service project of the International or ganization of Zonta in. addition to the - service projects of the individual clubs. . Mrs. Kurtz said that the qualifications which the applicant must fill are extremely high.: Members were told that among those who had the scholarship were two girls outside the United States; one from Italy and one from Egypt. Also speaking at the noon meeting was Mts.' Celia Martin who gave a classification talk concerning her work in a real estate and insurance office.
