Mrs. Ethel Duggan Passes; Funeral Service Monday Central Point Mn. Zthel M. Duggan, 62, route 2, Central Point, died at home Friday eve ning.. She had been a southern Oregon resident for the past 44 years. ; Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Medford, Monday at 9 a.m. The Very Rev. N. J. Deis will officiate. Interment will be in the Sams Valley (Pankey) cemetery. ' Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at the Perl Funeral home tonight at 8 o'clock. : Mrs. Duggan was born at Ala mosa, Colo., on Aug. 7, 1892. She, and J. C. Duggan, now de ceased, were married in Sams Valley in 1912. Mrs. Dug gan resided at the same ranch ever since. She belonged to the Sacred Heart church, was chairman of the HEC of the Sams Valley Grange, and was a charter mem ber of both the Sams Valley Ladies club and Grange. Survivors include her mother, Mary E. Marsh, Sams Valley; one son, C. William Duggan, Sams Valley; two daughters, ville, and Mrs. Marion E. Owens, Medford; one sister, Mrs. Mable Hundley, Sams Valley, and seven grandchildren. Legislation affecting schools which is expected to be introduced into the coming ses sion of the legislature will be discussed, and all teacher groups of the county are asked to send representatives. Attending will be Dr. Bill Sampson, Southern Oregon college faculty member and legislative chairman for the local OEA division, and Joe Fad er, Ashland junior high school principal and member, of the state ORA committee on legislation. Hotel Prowled A total of $218 was taken from two guests whose rooms at the Jackson hotel were prowled Friday night or early Saturday morning, city police were informed. They said that Dick Loyde Jenks, Salem, reported $18 taken and that Peter Albert Bassett, Mapleton, missed $200. . Pleads Innocent Orville John Carrigan, 33, of 1336 Hil ton dr., entered a plea of inno cent in city court Saturday morning on a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under in fluence of intoxicating liquor, police reported. A hearing has been set for Jan. 15. He was held in the city jail yesterday. Jailed - Norris Haynes Gile, 51, of 1354 Dixie lane, Medford, pleaded guilty in district court Thursday to a charge of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, and was sentenced to 80 days in the county jail.
