Favorite Terry Robe Takes on New Color
New . York (U.R) The terry
robe, always a favorite because
of its wearability, has gone so
phisticated.... ". ., ,
New jcolorsand patterns as
well as silhouettes have been
adopted so that you caa choose
a terry lounger in anything from
plain . white to pin-stripe or
leopard- print. ' . 4,
Among the new terry styles
are the "shirt tail?, robe which
is ; man-tailored, slim - cut, : and
buttoned at the front; a pin-stripe
duster, with white collar, cuffs
and pockets; another duster with
deep, contrasting yoke and push
up sleeves; and a leopard print
lounging suit. - .
There's even one terry duster
dress cut on the lines of a sheath,
with stand-away collar and gold
tone buttons and belt.
Adaptations of the Japanese
kimono also are shown, with
colorful silk or cotton sash. Even
the popular terry "wraparong"
which serves as both towel
and robe . after the bath has
been glamorized. New versions
are rose-printed, candy-striped,
or bound in bright shades.
Through' all the fashion
changes, though,' the washability
of terry remains. And none of
the new garments need ironing. .
Camembert cheese and fresh
pears make a delicious dessert.
Be sure to let the cheese soft
en for several hours before
spreading the pearl slices.

Wax Helps Prevent
Black Marks on Floor ' v
Blaclumarks on the floor from
metal chair and table legs? Miss
Beth Minden, Oregon State Col.
lege extension home manage
ment specialist, has a possible
solution. -: v i
Try waxing the part of the
metal that touches the floor, she
says. Use the same kind of wax
that you have on the floor.
r-; This isn't a sure cure, but it
may help. Miss Minden says.
Best idea is to use furniture cups
under metal furniture when you
can. .
