Fred Harvey restaurant and
dining car service organization,
died yesterday after a brief ill
nesi.
Harvey was the son of the
founder of the chain of Harvey
Houses which dotted the right of
way of the Santa Fe railroad in
the days before dining cars be
came popular.
Harvey was a native of Cleve
land, Ohio. His wife died in
1848; but three sons survive,
Including Byron Jr., who is now
president of the firm-
