ARRIVING IN San Francisco for week-long visit, Shah Moham med Reza Pahlavi and his empress, Soraya, 22, are greeted by Iranian students from California universities and dignitaries as plane landed at International airport. (International) A Nichol's Worth of . . . Comment On By HARMAN United Prasi -' Washington U.R) What's new in Washington? When . the Shah- of Iran was our guest, several - problems arose. First, the -State Depart- ? . - ment sent out M a press release spelling it "Shaw." That was withdrawn lEATI before any l$B&&C careless editor let it get into .print. . : Next, the command among our Herman Nichol diplomatic corps let it be known that the shah's bride, who is 22 and as lovely as anything out of the picture books, should be ad dressed as "the empress." - The Shah knocked that one over by referring always to his lady as "Queen." A dinner was held for the! visiting royalty. Flown here were exactly 73 trout from our best streams in the West enough to feed 73 persons. Ex actly 73 persons showed up. The hostess was a little uneasy.- What would have happened if -74 per sons had shown up? Or if some body had asked for seconds?
