Lyall Fidler and Gor don S. Mackenzie will be con solidated as of Jan. 1, 1955, it was announced today. He formed his own insurance and real es Leg isf a t u re To Get Recommendations on State Jobs, Salaries Salem ' (U.R) The Legisla tive Interim Committee on Re tirement and Compensation will submit recommendations for widespread changes in state em ployees classifications and sal ary scales to the 1955 Legisla ture. The recommended changes will;be based on classification and salary study now being made by Harrington Associates, Inc., management consulting firm from New York City. He is well known here as an announcer and master of ' cere monies for rodeos and other events, working with the Jack sonville Jubilee, the boat races and others. He is vice-president of the Kiwanis club, and has been active in that group's Ki wanis Kapers each year. He is a member ' of the International Footprinters association, serving as president this year. He owns and shows fine saddle horses, and has worked in projects for underprivileged children in the area. A Barrington official said the work so far accomplished has developed the fact that hundreds of state employees classifications are out of line with .the work performed and he said wide spread rates of pay also are out of line too high or too low, with the requirements and re sponsibilities of the class of work performed. Questionnaires Distributed The first step in the study was the distribution of question naires to each employee of the state from the governor on down through every branch and level of government.
