Central Point The" Com munity Bible church of Central Point will be hosts to an allday Young People's rally, Friday, Nov.'26. -The gathering is spon sored by the Southern Oregon Community church fellowship and includes approximately 15 churches in this area. Delega tions are expected from as far away as Bly to the east and Cave Junction to the west. Program Given The activities will begin with a devotional hour at 11 a. m., led by' the young people. The noon meal will be a sack lunch, From 1 to 2:30 p. m., a recrea tional program is planned and at 2:30 p. m. the afternoon serv ice will begin. The Rev. Robert Ross, an instructor at Simpson Bible institute, Seattle, will , be the principal speaker. He is a youth leader. At 5:30 p. m. a potluck dinner will be served and the evening service will begin at 7 o'clock. The early evening hour will allow those coming from a distance to re turn home the same evening. The Rev. Mr. Ross will also speak at the evening service. An orchestra will furnish music and those who play instruments are asked to take them. Val Cloud, evangelist, whose home is at Seattle, Wash., will be" in Medford, Monday, Nov. 20, to conduct a revival service at' the Nazarene church, North Holly and First sts. The service will begin at 8 p.m. Mrs. Cloud is a noted vibra harpist and also plays the -piano and accordion. She is a contralto soloist. ...... The Rev. Assembly School ign Opens Campa A class enlargement campaign will be started Sunday morning at the Medford Assembly of God Sunday school at 1108 West Main st., according to James Nilsen, Sunday school superin tendent. The campaign period will con tinue to Sunday, 'Dec. 26. The class which secures the highest average percentage of increase during the campaign will : be presented with a turkey for a class dinner. A goal of 300 has' been set for the Sunday school. In the past year church officers state there has been a 30 per cent increase in attendance in the Sunday school and now all classes are striving for an even greater increase. Persons who are not now at tending church or Sunday, school are invited to attend the Med ford Assembly of God. The church . maintains a Sunday School bus and if transportation is needed, by calling telephone 2-4292 or 2-5328 arrangements can be made for the bus to pick up passengers. Consecration To Be' Held at Si. Peters , Consecration Sunday will be observed. Nov. 28 at St. Peters Lutheran church, 1020 East Main st., according to the pas tor, the Rev. Kenneth F. Korby. During the consecration service the pledges are received. The sermon, which will be preached "by Pastor Korby is titled: "The Dedicated Life." ' Tuberculosis robs the nation of approximately 1,000,000 work ing years each year time lost by people who die of the disease. Youth From ChurcK Of God at Meeting Ten youth representatives from the First Church of God in Medford are attending a fel lowship convention at Woodburn over the Thanksgiving holiday, Nov. 25-28. The theme, "Be Thou An Ex ample" will be used by the main speaker, the Rev. Orval Kerr, professor at Pacific ; Bible col lege. The Rev. Darold Jones of Medford will address the youth of the state on Saturday after noon on, "Be. Thou An Example In Practical Evangelism." Program To Feature 'Vegeterian Lioness' A program featuring "Little Tyke," a vegeterian lioness, will be sponsored Saturday, Nov. 27, at 7:30 p. m by the Rogue River Academy Improvement commit tee. The program will be held at the Ashland armory. .The animal is known through out the Pacific northwest as the lioness which refuses to eat meat' of any kind, those in charge point out. Georges H. Westbau, the owner, will show a film which depicts the animal refus ing to eat meat of various kinds.
