TWO MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBJJNE Society and Clubs Family Will Live In California City Mr. and Mrs. James Wyatt, with their daughter, Miss Mary -Wyatt, and son, John, have left Medford to make their home in San Mateo, Calif. The two young people have been students in Medford high school. Mrs. Wyatt worked in Medford Junior high school Par ent - Teacher association, and was active in Women's Golf as sociation of Rogue talley Coun try club while living here. The Wyatts lived in Palo, Al to, Calif., before coming to Med ford a few years ago. NEW PRESIDENT Salem (U.R) Marjorie Hart, Corvallis, Tuesday was the new president of the Oregon Beautici ans Association. Former Dakotans Plan Annual Summer Meeting A record-breaking attendance is expected for the annual pic nic and meeting of the North and South Dakota Picnic asso ciation. The picnic will be held Sunday, July 27, at TouVelle park, beginning at 10 a.m. Former resident? of the two states from as far south as Duns muir and as far north as Rose burg are expected to be present. The chairman and secretary, Mr. and Mrs. Eric De Place, state that Ed Goehring will take charge of coffee, ice cream and punch for the picnic. This will be the eighth year Mr. Goehring has headed this committee. John A. Carter will again be master of ceremonies, and music and entertainment will be pro vided by the Alexander orches tra and ukelele group. This is also the eighth year that Mrs. C. R. Alexander's musicians have played for the picnic. Mrs Alexander will also provide a public address system for the event. Prizes will be offered for the largest family at the picnic, for the youngest mother, the young est baby, the oldest' woman and the person who traveled the longest distance to attend. .. Beagle Community Club To Hold Annual Picnic Beagle Community club has nlanned the annual meeting ana picnic for Sunday, July 20, at TouVelle park. All lormer resi dents of the Beagle district and their friends are invited to at tend. A basket dinner will be serv ed at 12:30 p.m., with coffee and ice cream to. be furnished by the club. Durine the meeting officers for the coming year will be elect ed. Elwood Abbott, Sams vai W. ha been nresident of the club the past year and Francis Martin, Ashland, secretary ana treasurer. Beauticians Show New Hair Styles Salem 0J.R) The Oregon Beautician Association Monday forecast three new hair stylings for women to replace the cur rent horsetail, poodle and kitten cuts. Members demonstrated the stylings as part of their annual convention, declaring the poodle hair style probably the mosl sought of the three now in vogue. New styles predicted on a na tion-wide basis include the full short pompadour, with hair brushed up in back; the short hairline pattern, and the grown out poodle. - Roxy Gardeners met July 9 at Hawthorne Park for a business meeting and picnic lunch. W. R. Robinson of the Forest Service was guest speaker. He talked on conservation of the forests. The next meeting of the group will be August 13 at the home of Mrs. Lehman, 2570 Springbrook road. President To Arrive Thursday For Rotana Meeting Miss Helen McQuarrie, na tional president of Rotana club from Bozeman, Mont., will ar rive in Medford Thursday to pre side at the annual national con vention of the club to be held here July 18-20. The Jackson hotel will be headquarters for the convention. Other national officers ex pected for the sessions are Mrs. MaryT3ooth, Helena, Mont., first vice-president; Miss Marie Barr, Salem, Ore., second vice-president; Miss Pauline Brazeale, Bozeman, secretary and Mrs. Agnes Sheridan, Butte, treas urer. Rotana, national classified service club for women in bus iness and the professions, was organized in Montana and has many clubs in that state. Ore gon clubs are in Medford, Bend, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Redmond. Salem, Portland and McMinnville. Mr. Ekholm at tended the 65th wedding anniver sary celebration held in honor of his parents. This was the fourth trip which Mr. Ekholm has made to Sweden since 1946, all being made by air. - - In Midwest Mrs. Laura Aldredge, who is spending the summer in Kansas City and in Des Moines and Leon, la., will return to Med ford about the middle of August. ALL SIZES 78lh Patient Carried By Mercy Flights .- The Mercy" Flights sir ambu lance organization carried its 78th patient yesterday, when volunteer pilots flew a navy vet eran to Oakland, Calif., for emergency surgery. The plane, piloted by George Milligan with Lee Flink as co pilot, last .night carrier. Michael Glaser, 434 Melrose avenue, to the Oakland airport, from where he "was taken to the Oak Knoll Navy hospital. Glaser is a subscriber to the non-profit firm's pre-paid plan, and was not charged for the trip. Seventy-seven . other patients have been carried by the organi zation's two planes since it was organized about 2V2 years ago.
