If postponed, the bout must be

Miss Sehorn, of the Columbia

The old record of 2:58.1 was

never been bettered until Miss
Sehorn accomplished the feat

Navy Crew Rated
Dominant Power
For Three Years
Syracuse, N.Y. (U.R) Navy's
smooth - stroking Middies were
rated a virtual shoo-in- for an
Olympic berth and a dominant
power in the rowing world for at
least the next three years on the
strength of their "sweep of the
river in Saturday s regatta.
rne Middies, who will com
pete for an Olympic berth at
Worcester, Mass., early next
month, monopolized the Intercol
legiate Rowing association's go!
den jubilee regatta on Lake
Onondaga Saturday by stroking
to separate victories in the var
sity, junior varsity and freshman
events without being extended
in any of the races.
Almost Unbeatable
Princeton CoachTJutch Schoch,
whose crew finished second to
the Middies, called Navy almost
unbeatable.
"We outstroked Navy 32 beats
to 30 most of the way," Schoch
said, "but were never able to
come close because of their
amazing strength and precision.
They're loaded."
