Presbyterian Pastor Will Begin Series Radio station KYJC will broadcast the 11 a.m. services of First Presbyterian church on Sunday. Dr. D. K. West, pastor, will speak on "What Shall I Do with Jesus." The sermon will be the first in a series on "Life's Greatest Questions." Other subjects and dates are "What If I Gain the World and Lose My Soul?," June 20; "How Long Halt Ye between Two Opinions?," July 6; "What Must I Do to Be Saved?," July 13; "My God, Why Hast Thou For saken Me?," July 20, and "Hast Thou Not Known?," July 27. Adventisf Youth Rally on Saturday A Southern Oregon Associat ed Missionary Volunteer quar terly rally will be held June 21 at 5 p. m. in the Bible Auditor ium, 910 South Central avenue. Joe Hoyt, president, said he expects at least 800 persons to attend from 15 towns, but lias invited all other youtlj in Med ford, of any faith. A skit, "Decisive Moments," will be the main fcaulre. There will be musical numbers by Donna Peck, Alyce Darner, the Granls Pass trio, Ruby Joreen- sen and Ellen and Frank Brown, and a trumpet duet bv Henry Martin and Charles Lewis. At 6:30 refreshments will be served by Medford and Valley View hostesses. A Zion Luther an film, "I Am With You,", de picting missionary experiences in Africa will be shown at 8 p. m. Apostolic Faith Camp Meet Set The Rev. C. W. Frost, pastor of the Apostolic Faith church here, has announced that the annual camp meeting conven tion of the faith will be held in Portland this year from June 29 through July 20. The Apostolic Faith has a per manent camp ground at S.E. 52nd avenue and Duke street, which is considered one of the beauty spots of Portland. It has a huge tabernacle, recently en larged, where regular Bible study and evangelistic services are held, in addition to a smaller tabernacle for youth services. There are also tents and ac commodations for housing the hundreds of visitors each year. A number of the Medford con gregation expect to attend a por tion of the camp meeting this year. Visitors are expected from all parts of the United States and from some foreign countries. Anyone in Portland during that time is welcome to attend the services, the pastor remarked. Free Methodist Program Tonight Students enrolled in the Free Methodist vacation Bible school will perform tonight in a spe cial Bible school program. Mrs. Ray Jennings, superin tendent of the school said an interesting program is planned, beginning at 8 p. m. at the church. This afternoon the entire school was dismissed early and went to Hawthorne park for picnic. Twelve young people from the Free Methodist church are at tending the Oregon conference youth camp at Camp Wyeth on the Columbia river. The Camp began last Saturday and con cludes- tomorrow. Those who made the trip from Medford were: Celia Glogston, Donna El kins, Lois and Loretta Kellcy Rita Grislis, Arils Daugherty, Donald Eaton, George Sparks, Jimmy White, Junior McDonald, and Richard Atterbury. . Society and Clubs Art Appreciation Will Be Subject Of Lecture Series Eugene Bennett, artist, today announced a series of five illus trated lectures on art which he will give beginning the first week in July. Mr. Bennett, who was gradu ated from the Art Institute of Chicago a year ago and who taught In the New Trier high school, Chicago, the last year, states that the lectures will be planned for laymen who are striving to understand and ap preciate art. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary Ameri can painting and various art movements, including romanti cism, realism, modernism and the American scene. Colored slides will illustrate the lectures, and a general ques tion period will follow each ses sion. No art background is neces sary, it is stated. Evangelist To Answer Questions in Sermon In another sermon from the book of Revelation at 7:30 p. m. Sunday, at the Bible auditorium. Evangelist Harold E. Melt-nit will answer questions people have asked hini. They include: "What are the seven lost languages'.'" "When will they come?", "Why Does God permit Them?", "Upon Whom Will They Fall?", "Will Christian Church To Ordain Elders A special ordination service for newly elected elders of First Christian church will be held at the 11 a.m. service Sunday. The sermon subject will be "My Christian Task Today." Special music will be presented by the choir. The evening service will be gin with a snack supper at 6:30 p.m. Following it will be an in stallation service for the differ ent organizations of the church: Officers of the church board, all elders and deacons, the Women's fellowship, the men's fellowship and all Bible school officers. The sermon for the evening service will be "On Our Way." Special music for the evening will be presented by the vouth choir. 4-H Club News Busy Mountain The Busy Mountaineers club of Prospect met June 17 at the home of the president and dis cussed the exhibit for the Home Extension meeting. Ralph Dippel held high score for the weekly play of Medford Duplicate Bridge club Tuesday night with a total of 69 points. Taking second were Budd Gail and T. J. Fuson, who scor ed 62 points. Three couples tied for third, fourth and fifth places. Mrs. Paul McDuffee and her partner, Mrs. B. L. Sander son, Mrs. Lorcn Scott of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and her part ner, Roy Pruitt, and Mr. and Mrs. George all scored 55'2 points. Mrs. George Codding and Mrs. Frank Baker took sixth with 53 '2 points. Woman's Club Plans Dinner Monday Night Scottish Rite Woman's club has planned a potluck dinner at 6:30 o'clock Monday, June 23, in Masonic temple, with a social evening to follow. All Scottish Rite Masons and their wives are invited to the event. Those whose names begin with A to J inclusive are asked to lake meat dishes; K to S vegetables and salads; T to Z cakes. Visitors Arrive From Wyoming Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Stratton, Riverton, Wyo arrived Wed nesday to visit for two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Strat ton, Loring court, their son and daughter-in-law. The Strattons are accompanied by Mrs. Mar ion Ashbaugh, Riverton. Mr. Stratton is mayor Riverton. of Returns Mrs. Jennie Hutchinson re turned to her home at 522 West Tenth street Tuesday after a 10-day vacation trip. While away Mrs. Hutchinson visited friends and relatives in Portland, Hood River and Molalla. In Portland Mrs. Hutchinson witnessed the annual Rose festival parade. (U.R) A girl and three boys were born prematurely Wednesday night to Mrs. Marion Manning, 27. The attending physician said it was "too early to tell" if the quadruplets will survive. The fourth baby, a boy born 66 minutes after the first birth, was said to be In "fair" condi tion. The girl, first to arrive, and two boys that followed were reported in "good condition."
