Castellani Tips Brat ton Chicago (U.R) Welterweight Johnny Bratton figured Thurs day that seven pounds cost him a victory over a man he had on the verge of knockout three times. Bratton, a former NBA cham pion, weighed 149 pounds for his 10 round Chicago Stadium bat tle last night with Rocky Castel lani, at 156. Castellani won a split decision with 54 to 46 and 52 to 48 scores by Referee Norm McGarity and Judge E. Allen Frankel. Judge William O'Connell held it 51 to 49 for Bratton. "I had him out in the third, and the fourth and the seventh," Bratton said. "I know I had him out, but he had it in his mind that he was bigger than me and that's a hard thing to beat. "He's not a hitter," Bratton added. "If we were the same weight, It would only have gone two or three rounds. I'd love to fight him again but I feel that I should stick to welters. It's hard to beat a big man. AHFT ARRIVES Portland (U.R) Portland's new first baseman, Hank Arft, finally arrived in town Wednes day. . DUNHAM'S Fish Said Many In Lower Rogue "There are more fish in the river at this time than I have ever seen at any time in the last six years I have lived here." That is the report on the low er Rogue river made early this week by A. N. McLennan, who operates Mack's motel and fish ing resort at Wedderburn. McLennon described the mul titude of fish as "a very strange situation" because June is gen erally regarded as a poor fishing month. Boats were checked from Ag ness to Gold Beach last week. There were 14 fishing with an average of 1V4 fishermen per boat. Most boats had one fisher man. For the week ending last Sunday night 299 fish were caught. "When a few boats go out and catch their limit, fish ing is good," McLennan remark ed. Largest fish caught was a 34V4-pounder by Edith Wing, San Bernardino, Calif. "The fish are here but where are the fishermen?'' McLennan asked. 1 SWING CUT OFF SAW, 80" overeut with iteel frame, hangars, stsamcylinder feed control, bait, etc. 1 SWING CUT OFF SAW, 70" ovarcut with steel frame, hangers, steam cylinder feed control, bait, etc. 1 SWING CUT OFF SAW, 60" ovarcut, Model 36. with 3 H.P.
