June Brides
By Olive Starcher
June, favorite month for weddings, is here and
the days are filled with wedding plans, church cere
monies, shower parlies and all the rest of the pleas
ant excitement which goes with a wedding in
America.
Last week saw several couples making their
marriage vows, and numerous other ceremonies are
set for this week-end and the remainder of June.
June 7 brought two of the season's largest and
rhost interesting weddings. Miss Mary Ann Miksche,
(upper left) was married to Peter Thomas Trim at
Sacred Heart Catholic church at two o'clock in the aft
ernoon, and Miss JoAnn Barbara Larsen, (upper
right), became the bride of Floyd Henry Hart Jr., af
five o'clock in St. Mark's Episcopal church.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Trim are traveling in Cana
da on their honeymoon and will live at Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan, Canada, where the bridegroom is on
the faculty of the University of Saskatchewan. Mr.
and Mrs. Trim are shown (center left) leaving the
church after the ceremony. The bride's sister, Mrs.
Laurence A. Neer, is holding the train and the little
flower girl, Maryanne Wilkinson, looks on. In the
background are (left to right) Donald Wilkinson,
usher, and Tom Nordby, the best man.
During the reception, held at Rogue Valley Coun
try club, the bride and bridegroom read messages
of felicitation. Shown with them (below left) are the
bride's brother, leo, (at left) who came from New
York City for the wediiing, the bride's father, Ray
mond Miksche, looking over the bridegroom's shoul
der while another brother, Norbert, Prineville, Ore.,
and the bride's mother are at the right.
Mr. and Mrs. Hart have left for California and
New Mexico where the bridegroom is on duty at
Roswell with the United States Air force. The newly
weds are shown (center right) after the ceremony ot
St. Mark's church. Later they were greeted by friends
waiting in the church yard and are shown (below
right) receiving best wishes from Mr. and Mrs. Justin
Smith. The maid-of-honor, Miss Donna Shaw, Is shown
ot left.
The reception which followed the ceremony was
given by the bride's parents at the Hart's home near
Central Point.
